Giving women reasons causes them to try and think. That in turn makes them sassy because they like to question everything if you let them and then you end up having to hit them twice.

Reposted for truth. This is a point that too few young men keep in mind when training a new wife.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

1) When you grow up, you'll learn that debates do not involve ad hominems (look it up).
2) Why so homophobic?
Please, do not bother swearing in your reply. You're not shocking anyone.

No thanks.
Maybe when you're a little older.
But thank you for the blessing.

I'm kidding guys, I'm just trolling with you. But seriously, I thought Jesus was about love, and most of the "hitting your wife" stuff you guys are using is in the old testemant. Isn't it time to practice what Jesus said? Instead of old testament ideologies?

Jesus clearly admits that women are property in this parable.
Matthew 18:25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
Paul writes that women are subservient to men.
Ephesians 5:22-23 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

Being submissive means being in command, it's like in the army. Army instructors don't hit their privates, they tell them what they did wrong, and make them perform some tasks. It also says in the Bible, Ephesians 5-28, that husbands ought to love their wives as they love their bodies. Would you want somebody to hit you if you didn't do exactly as they said?

Not since the 1970's. I happen to agree with this philosophy. I don't hit my wife. I merely walk into the room and scream at her at 4 in the morning banging a pot to make me breakfast. Then, I make her run two miles. I don't want her getting flabby.

Love and nourishment includes discipline and providing for her like a child or a dog. You love a child or a puppy, but you don't let them do whatever they want.

Are you listening to yourself? You are comparing a woman, a wife, (even a child) to the same standard of a dog... just because they are not men or are still small does not mean they are any less human than you or I. The last time I checked women and children were considered homo sapiens too, not animals at the level of pets.

It was merely an example. You wouldn't let a puppy chew on electrical cords. You wouldn't let a three year old put a screwdriver into an electrical outlet. You wouldn't let a woman burn a steak.
It's the same principle. Everyone needs love and discipline. As the man of the house, it is our job to provide that.

your forgetting...Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor....
please if you have committed a crime subject to the law of your land, and by law of your land i mean set by your government not in your imaginery little pea brain, if you love god you will do as he commands wont you?

His statements? Hardly. The whole middle of that screed was copied direct from the NIV http://niv.scripturetext.com/romans/13.htm.

yet the fact that i stated he must submit himself to the law of the land as the bible quotes he should not avoid punishment because surely the punishment he receives is all in the name of god, but then again just like devil worshippers you deny any wrong doing and continue to support the sinners.
