Fireworks appropriate for New Year? -
12-29-2011, 02:08 PM
Are fireworks appropriate for New Year? As far as I know, it is not mentioned as an appropriate way to celebrate New Year in the scripture, but I see some positive results: for instance it teach children to appreciate loud bangs, which is needed to become a soldier or hunter later on.
In addition, it scare the shit out of wimpy dogs, which comply with Genesis 1:26
Can I tell my children that "Fireworks are fun, but there are Godless people like socialists, hippies and animal rights terrorists who want to take this right from us, let's celebrate our freedom from communism" ?

Thank you.
Bible boring? Nonsense!
Try Bible in a Year with Brother V, or join Shirlee and the kids as they discuss Real Bible Stories!
You can't be a Christian if you don't know God's Word!

I like to invite my "Nubile Young Men's Prayer Circle" over every year at New Year's for a night of Irish Coffes, Circle Prayer and shooting a few thousand rounds of ammo into the sky.
I let my servant's pickaninnies run around and pick up the spent shells for fun.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

Fireworks are so passe. We like to explode 8 lb bombs with high powered rifles on refrigerators or old cars to celebrate.

Thank you Reverend. I had to take care of that word reading the OP because it offended my gentile and feminine sensibilities.
Off topic, but I wonder if you (or anyone) knows how to get permanent marker off a computer screen?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

That's what I'm talking about - responsible gun ownership. To protect against the invading armies and so on, like these elite Iranifighters.
It's almost as though the mudslimes like shooting as much as we do. Ha ha, but their crazy! Not us! In the USA guns are not just your right but also your responsibility. Shooting bullets into explosives placed inside consumer goods shows the proper respect for high power firearms and is what the 2nd Amendment is for.

The gun control crazies have tried to steal our second amendment right to shoot bullets into the sky ( they think it puts holes in something they call the "ozone layer" ) so I say fill the pickup with the largest caliber of ammo you're man enough to handle, and get shootin'! What the bullets hit when they come down is in God's Hands, and we should not try to thwart His will.
Disagree? By failing to register and debate me, you prove that liberals are factless frauds who only persuade through intimidation. To prove otherwise, debate me!

When I was a kid I always used to aim away from the Sun, in case it would disturb the coal embers. One morning after a dozen Buds I decided to do it anyway and the bullets didn't seem to do any damage. So now you know - it's OK to shoot at the Sun just be careful not to look into the telescopic sight, I learnt that the same day.
