George will soon be sworn in and I'm expecting big things from him. We need to remember that one of the concessions required to get McCarthy in as Speaker is his position can be challenged by any member at any time. This means we will see a succession of Speakers. It opens the door for George himself to become Speaker.

The Speaker is third in line to become President of the United States. If somehow both the President and VP were killed, George will be standing tall. We can be proud here at Landover Baptist for our prayers.

At this point I'm thinking that the role of Speaker should be taken in turns. Each GOP House member serves as Speaker for one day, descending in order of seniority loyalty to Trump. So Matt Gaetz gets to go first. Where the honorable Mr. Santos stands on that list, I don't know. But he'll get his turn. Also, Kevin McCarthy should not be included on the list, even at the bottom. They certainly are, and now they are doing it again. An "ethics" part of the Federal Government is now saying the $700,000 George lent his campaign has no source or record of how it was spent.

Of course there is no record. Do those nit wits think George is going to give this ammunition to his political opponent? In politics one has to play it close to the vest. Where this money came from and what happened to it is George's business and no one else's.

Long Island Republicans, George's friends, have asked him to resign. They must be challenged. George was elected to serve the people there. That others poked into unimportant details is not relevant to his public service in the House.

I've through the grapevine that Republican Jews are especially angry. George gave the impression, they claim, he was a Jew. Now these so called Republican want to do something really mean, dump him from office.

I think this is the time to call Donald Trump.

It reeks of Papers, please! which should put a chill down the spine of Jewish voters.

Santos has claimed to have a Catholic father and Jewish mother, although social media posts indicate that his mother, the now deceased Fatima Alzira Caruso Horta Devolder, regularly shared Catholic imagery and followed several Catholic faith-based accounts.

“My grandparents escaped socialism, they’ve escaped communism and the Holocaust." Online genealogy records also indicate that both of Santos’ grandparents were born in Brazil years before the Nazi rise to power in Germany.

The situation reminds me so much of Christian persecution. How is it different from, say, Mr. Trump overvaluing his assets on legal documents to obtain loans? It's up to others to do the work and find the truth, not Mr. Trump or Mr. Santos to spoon feed the answers. As Republicans in positions of power, these men deserve a second third or fourth chance - Mr. Santos agrees.

I was thinking of sending him a book. How likely is he to have a Bible? There are so many false translations and versions rendered into this sort of language:

When politicians make statements like this, you can save yourself some time and rule out that thing. Look somewhere else, because if it's anything bad it's certainly not the first thing that came out of their mouths in denial.

I did not have sex with that woman. I am not taking vacations with a male prostitute. I did not rape those wrestlers and pay sub-$10k amounts as hush money over a period of decades to avoid triggering federal disclosure laws. I made millions of dollars living solely off my government salary.
