Idle women more likely to die

Not that I understand how any female could sit around doing nothing for six hours a day ... what with baking pies, cleaning, praying, walking the dog, reading the bible, gardening, looking after Daddy, paying the bills, sewing, etc

    Source:
Women who sit while relaxing for six hours more likely to die, study says

RELAXING at home can have deadly consequences for women who sit for more than six hours a day during their leisure time, regardless of how much they exercise, scientists say.

A new study from American Cancer Society researchers found that women in particular who sat for longer than six hours a day during their leisure time -- engaged in activities such as watching television, surfing the internet and reading -- had higher death rates.

And it did not matter how much daily exercise they did, the risk remained virtually unchanged.

Several studies have already shown there is a link between long sitting times and obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease risk factors, and unhealthy diets.

But the latest study - which surveyed 123,216 people for 13 years - found a link between the amount of time people spent sitting and their death rates.

It found that the more leisure time people spent sitting, the higher the risk of death, particularly for women.

Women who said they sat for more than six hours a day during their leisure hours were found to be 37 percent more likely to die during the period of the study, than those who sat for less than three hours a day.

Men who sat for more than six hours were 18 percent more likely to die than those who sat for less than three.

The results remained virtually unchanged when physical activity was factored in.

However, lack of exercise combined with long sitting times was a killer combination.

Women who sat more and were less physically active were 94 percent more likely to die compared with those who sat the least and were the most active. For men the figure was 48 percent.

Alpa Patel, who led the team of researchers, said long sitting times were shown to have important metabolic consequences influencing things such as cholesterol and resting blood pressure, which were biomarkers of obesity and cardiovascular and other chronic diseases.

The study concluded that public health messages needed to encourage people to reduce the time they spent sitting as well as promoting them to exercise.

"Because a sizable fraction of the population spends much of their time sitting, it is beneficial to encourage sedentary individuals to stand up and walk around as well as to reach optimal levels of physical activity," Mr Patel said.
    2 Chronicles 7:14
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land Australia.

Re: Idle women more likely to die

Very nice article, those women are being punished for their sins for sure!

    1) They are not serving their husbands needs or keeping house as well as they possibly could.
    2) They are being lazy; which enrages God.*

*I can apply this from my reading of several parts of Proverbs, which I have been brushing up on recently:

    Proverbs 6
4Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids.

5Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.

6Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

Here in this analogy, the man is being lazy and a sluggard - God wants the man to be more like a busy ant.

    Proverbs 26
13The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.

14As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed.

15The slothful hideth his hand in his bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth.

16The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.

Some more proof that laziness is a sin, here we can see that only when a sluggard (lazy housewife) admits her own conceit (wrongdoing) is she wise. When she's sitting around being a couch potato, eating bags of crisps and tubs of ice cream without a second thought for her duties then she is stupid, she is sinning, and she is heading for hell.

    And finally:

    Proverbs 21
25The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.

God desires the lazy fatties to be killed - they are of no use to him in Heaven. Praise Jesus !

You would think that someone who lazes around all day doing nothing is less likely to die early because they are avoiding potentially dangerous situations. These sluggish dim-witted calorie collecting fatties were not counting on God looking down at them in anger.

All lazy people are sinners, and will burn in Hell. I like to keep myself busy reading the Bible, and sometimes talking to my family about my day at work Charli you sound like you keep yourself busy also, as my father always shouted to my mother, those pies won't bake themselves !

A woman came up to me the other day, 12/6/2016 and said:
"But Mr. Winner, if GOD loves everyone then why is there so much suffering in the world?"

Because GOD doesn't love everyone. Too many people have this absurd idea in their heads that GOD is all loving.
If he was all loving, then murderers, thieves and homosexuals would be waiting for you in Heaven.

I spend nearly all day keeping an eye on my lazy Negra house staff. Walking around and shouting at them keeps me active.

      Praise Jesus for lazy Negras.

Hehehe, well, I guess Mrs. H. will live to be 150.

She is up and out of the house tending to the animals in the barn by 4 AM and works non-stop cleaning and cooking.baking, every single day until 8:30 PM. Then it is a shower and bed by 9 PM.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

I only allow my wife 6 hours - that's the minimum healthy time, and I'll be damned if she's wasting an hour of labouring time sleeping.

If she has done a particularly good supper that day, I allow her another 1/2 hour sleep before I push her out the bed at 3:30 to start chores.

Well I was definitely being covetous of Mrs. H's pillow time . Then again, I believe that all of the Hutchins children are grown, which would give her the extra time. Last night I was up with a toddler who has decided he can't sleep in a strange bed. The two older boys are restless from being cooped up in the truck all day.

I'll say one thing, there are no living idle women at the Hutchins plantation, so I'd say yes, based on that, being idle greatly increases the chance of death.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
