    New Management Enters Naomi's Moist Pie

    Freehold families are enjoying the grand re-opening of Naomi's Moist Pie on Crouch Blvd. A new male manager has come in and is expected to penetrate the market of Naomi's Moist Pie in a huge way. Already, sales have increased and customers are smiling. Just read some of the comment cards we've received this past couple of weeks!

    "I love Naomi's pie! It is so satisfying and pleasing. When I crave pie, I come for Naomi's!" ZS, True Christian(TM)

    "Since the new manager took over, I can efficiently come in, do my business, and leave without dealing with nattering conversations. This makes me want Naomi's Moist Pie even more." PP, True Christian(TM)

    "My husband wants Naomi's pie every day. He won't even taste mine these days." BB, A Loyal Customer

    Our Leith, ND store is booming as well! We so appreciate the support of the Freehold and Leith communities. Soon we will be opening locations in Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas, and Godless New York. We are actively seeking men that know how to get in there and do the job, work hard, and keep going until the market is satisfied. If anyone has True Christian(TM) friends in those areas, kindly have them contact us! We are also in the process of buying two new delivery trucks so that we can see Naomi's pie in stores, for sale all over the country. Glory to God for His continued blessings. Remember, 20 percent of every pie you purchase goes directly to the Pastor Ezekiel Flint Fund for Ridding the World of Anything He Finds Annoying. Praise Him!

          This is great news. I missed your pie over the past few weeks and look forwards to getting my hands on it again, soon. I do worry that your current advertising campaign is a little lacking: have you concidered billboard advertising?

          I'm sure the sight of your pie 10' by 16' on the drive home would be an enduring image.

            We are praying about this, but the Lord hasn't spoken in my ear about it just yet. I have sent Pastor Peter Popoff a letter asking for his guidance (please don't be upset, Pastor Zeke - I didn't include money with my letter) so hopefully we will hear from God soon.               Dearest Brother Niles,
              I owe you my mental health and will be forever grateful for the many nights you spent with me during my recent "voyage". During those "travels," I was able to become a stronger individual in JESUS, and yet your counseling touched me deeply, in places no one else has ever reached. I highly recommend you to any person in need of opening up (to God) and release (of the Holy Spirit to others). I still recall that special advice: "Sister, simply breathe in and let God take over."

              We are praying about advertising, Dr. Niles, and the Lord has brought us a marketing specialist that loves the Lord. He has taken many photos during his visits. I will send them to you for your recommendations. I want YOU to be the one to decide which photo most accurately represents the product and glorifies God in every way. Hallelujah.

                What about sandwich boards? I'm sure something eyecatching would come up if we got together with Dr Niles, I was thinking of a retro feel: there is a site with some ideas here

                  Those are lovely, but we would certainly want a more modestly dressed person to wear the sandwich board. (Unless we could get Pastor Zeke to do it! )
                  Dr. Niles has a firm, hard schedule when he's in town, but if you are able to coordinate something with him, I don't think he'd mind us putting our heads together at all. Both of you are more than welcome to stay at my sprawling, Godly home. I'll just have to inform security and the help.

                    Yes, Rev'd Flint is an aficionado but sadly is spoken for & I don't wanna get thumped. But he'd make an ideal "mystery customer" and I'm sure he's gots lots of novel menu suggestions.

                      There will always be a market for moist pies, but there is a cautionary tale of overexpansion and having to pull out too soon. The story of Krispy Kreme is one such example. Riding a crest of enthusiasm, the company bought out and closed the world's first dinner theater (Candlelight Dinner Playhouse) - where patrons could simultaneously experience mediocre musical theater and mediocre food.

                      It's a sad story of financial detumescence that we would not like to see happen to an emerging market for fine moist pies.

                      I haven’t had a Krispy Kreme doughnut since around 2005. A few weeks ago, on National Coffee Day, I saw an article that gave a run-down of all the company’s promotions going on…and the feeling of neglect slowly crept back.

                      Illinois currently only has only 4 Krispy Kreme locations; whereas, in its heyday, I knew of a several in Chicago and its suburbs that I could visit. Those sweet, sugary, hot-from-the-fryer doughnuts are now just a memory. With that being said, I apologize for seeming a bit harsh on this company later on in this post. I guess you could say it’s a case of scorned lover syndrome. They left without saying goodbye and quite frankly, I’m glad they did (sniffle, sniffle, sniffle).

                      For all inquiring minds out there that have also wondered where Krispy Kreme went, you are not alone. There are several reasons why they are where they are, and because I feel rejected by their departure I thought I’d share some “coulda, woulda, shoulda” tips with you all. Hopefully, it will help me get over them once and for all.

                      Illinois franchisee files for Chapter 11

                      As Krispy Kreme Doughnuts spread across the country, hoopla followed. But the chain has struggled continually in the past few years and on Tuesday the Krispy Kreme franchisee for Illinois filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and said it plans to close about half its 15 Chicago-area stores.

                      Krispy Kreme made a splash when it opened its first Chicago-area store in 1998 at the site of the old Candlelight Dinner Playhouse in Summit. The chain developed a cult following for its warm, glazed doughnuts and began to spread aggressively around the country in the late 1990s.

                      Sales peaked in 2005 at $708 million, but fell steadily to $461 million last year, a drop of 35 percent. The company has not shown a profit since 2004.

                      Meanwhile, the stock, which in 2002 traded above $40 a share for a time, has been languishing. On Tuesday, it closed at $6.45, down 19 cents in a generally rising market.

                      Heralded in the theater history books as "America's First Dinner Theater," it opened July 7, 1961 in what was originally a tavern space owned by Bill Altier, whose college grad grandson Bill Pullinsi was eager to open a unique dinner space.

                      As for how the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse can be considered the "first dinner theater in America" even though the Drury Lane stage spaces were already in operation?

                      I'm told it's because at the Candlelight, the patrons actually watched the performance from the dining table seating where they also enjoyed their dinner service.
