Re: Caught my daughter listening to Hardcore Punk Rock
How can you in good conscience say she should listen to the Pink Floyds or the Green Days?Originally posted by QueenisLife View PostFirst of all, this isn't punk. This is crappy autotuned pop. Tell her she should be listening to something better like Pink Floyd or Queen or Green Day. Second, why should you get to decide what she listens to and what she believes? If she isn't as loyal to God as you are, respect that. Teach her that whatever she does will be respected and if she decides to come to God, be happy for her and if she doesn't, be happy for her. Because she's old enough to make decisions about what she wants to do with her life and you need to respect that. God won't love her any less if she's an atheist.
They are steeped in the so called Thrash Metals and promote depression and suicide as a life style choice.
Are you even a Christian?
YIC1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Re: Caught my daughter listening to Hardcore Punk Rock
I'm so glad you asked! You see, Jesus tells us very clearly in His Holy Word, the Holy Bible, that a loving parent, one who takes pride in their child and in their family, beats their child (Proverbs 13:24; Proverbs 29:15). If we do it right, He assures us the child won't die (Proverbs 23:13). If we do it wrong, He assures us the child will be damned for all eternity (Proverbs 23:14). What is a few years of enjoying music, or free will even, if the price is an eternity of damnation? Why, we don't even have to wait until the child is born to show True Christian™ love! You can start hitting your child with a rod 16 weeks before birth!Originally posted by QueenisLife View PostSecond, why should you get to decide what she listens to and what she believes? We have a lot of great resources for parents on the value of spanking for good discipline, the value of the rod of correction, and good discipline practices in general.
I hope that helps!Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.
