    Tattoos and cult worship

    Leviticus 19:28 (King James Version)

    Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

    This is good advice for all Christians.

    Why do people insist on marking their bodies, and what sybolism does the imagery represent? In many cases the tattoos are identical to others' in order to identify other cult members. Do you worship satan? Get a tattoo like this:

    The midfielder unveiled the body art which runs all the way down his left rib-cage as he took off his shirt after the game over the weekend.

    Beckham's spokesperson confirmed the tattoo is a Chinese proverb that means: "Death and life have determined appointments. Riches and honour depend upon heaven."

    The etching, which he sat for during his recent trip to the Far East, is the latest in a string of tattoos the star has signed up for in recent times.

    Last month he revealed a romantic declaration to Posh on his left forearm - "Forever by your side" - during a training session with LA Galaxy in Honolulu.

    It joined David's six-inch tattoo of Victoria as a bare-breasted angel, surrounded by stars and an older inscription of her name written in Hindi.

    Both David and Victoria have matching tattoos of the Roman numerals VIII.V.MMVI, which stand for the date of their secret commitment ceremony on March 8, 2006.

    They both have tattoos of the same Latin phrase De Integro, meaning "Again from the start".

    David also has an angel emblazoned across his back and a crucifix down his neck.
    I'm sure there are a lot of goths and pagans who infest this site who have already wasted their parent's hard earned money on tattoos. It's not too late, they have lasers now that can magically erase those tattoos.

    I finally did it. I’ve wanted to do this for a long time but could never find a design that appealed to me. Until today.

    I wanted an Om because it symbolizes the spiritual journey I began last year, and I wanted a lotus because it represents my belief in mankind’s intrinsic perfection and beauty. I looked for a number of months and tried doodling some designs of my own, but never liked what I saw until today. So I seized the opportunity and had it put on my arm.

    I really like my tattoo. It is my only one so far, and I can see myself getting another some day if the right design presents itself. I'm amazed at how judgmental I used to be about other people getting tattooed (when I was a TBM - True Believing Mormon). If there is a God who loves us unconditionally, I greatly doubt that He cares about what we put on our bodies. Moreover, if the Morg (Mormon Church) has no problem with women wearing makeup, wearing jewelry, coloring their hair, wearing tinted contact lenses, etc., then caring about tattoos is awfully silly.

    I've seen some people here write that it is too painful, but it seems to me that this is more a function of where you have it drawn on your body, and how big it is. Mine is on my arm and is only about 4 inches in diameter, so it wasn't that bad at all. It felt kind of like getting a mild electric shock for 45 minutes. Recovery lasted about a week or so.

    When I got a little TBM flack over it, I countered that if Mormons wear sacred symbols everywhere they go, why can't I? As far as I'm concerned, my sacred symbols (the Om and the lotus) make more sense, look better, and exhibit a far greater degree of commitment. Kinda makes the garment symbols look lame by comparison.

        The use of the phrase "left wing" in this context is not accidental! Jesus does not want you to go around looking like "Mr. Cool Ice"!

          Lisa, however, is making no apologies for her husband's permanent reminder of her infidelity.

          "I didn't plan to fall in love with Kaspars," she said. "And I never wanted Alan to have my face tattooed on his back in the first place."

          Lisa now plans to move her new partner into their family home — after moving Alan out, of course — to live with her daughters Jade, 15 and Daniella, 10.

          An optimistic Alan declared he would keep his eyes peeled — and the rest of his body ink-free — in an attempt to find another partner. "Lisa may have left me but she'll be on my back forever thanks to the tattoo," he said. "But I've still got plenty of room on my chest if I get hooked up again."

              I got my knuckles tattooed yesterday. I chose to dawn them with the term SHITFACE. Since I was 15 my best friend and I made up an alter ego for myself named Assy McShitface, it later became my stage name for the various bands that I’ve been in. I decided to make the name forever, and get the knuckles tattooed.

                  How would you like to show up for public school and this was your teacher?

                  Bruce Potts is a teacher of Public Speaking at the University of New Mexico and has a full tribal face tattoo. He has a straight forward attitude and imparts a cool vibe of acceptance. We'll bet his students get an extra edge on using demeanor and attitude in public speaking. And a life long lesson on not judging books by their covers. Either that or they study really hard because they're afraid he'll eat them.



                  From UNM teacher uses ink in expression... "'I have had very few negative reactions,' he said. 'People have been amazingly supportive.' Potts said he hasn't had trouble getting a job, because success is all about how one presents him or herself and doesn't solely depend on appearance."

                          Personally these tattoos make me sick. The people who get them look like circus freaks, and I have no doubt that satan has some extra special nastiness in store for anyone showing up down there with a scarred up body like that.


                          The Bible clearly forbids this perversion, and these people are clearly not worshiping God properly. An excellent series of articles on the subject can be found HERE.
