Real Life "Bambi & Thumper"

German photographer Tanja Askani has quite a portfolio of outstanding animal pictures, but this series is simply irresistible. Disney in real life: Bambi and Thumper!

The accompanying German text on these pages explains how the fawn's mother was killed shortly before it's birth and the fawn was then raised in a rural town with help from townspeople (this part is not so clearly explained). The wild rabbit showed up one day. At first the two just grazed in the same area and after a while got closer until they became "friends". They grazed together and kept each other company the whole day, the rabbit built a nest next to the deer instead of burrowing and other cute stuff like that. The author (who is also the photographer) mentions that the two could have formed this friendship to be able to better protect themselves from predators by warning each other and also the deer helped the rabbit have easier access to food in the winter.

Eventually when the fawn was old enough it was sent to a park where it would be released into the wild. The second to last picture shown here, shows how after the fawn had been anesthetized for easier transport and despite strange humans being around, the rabbit went up to the deer and supported its sleepy head "as if it were saying goodbye"

And if the little one (the rabbit) is the male and the big one (the deer) is the female, then that is even worse, as she is clearly domineering over him.

Cute animals can be evil actually. I saw it on that disney film hersules. That bit with the girl in the woods, and then a rabbit and i think a bird turn up all big eyed and sweet... and then they turned into demons... Pain and Panic they were called. You gotta watch out for these things

Just as God created Adam in his own image, and the animals recognizably separate and different one from each other, we are supposed to retain and pass on our individual traits.

What would it be like if animals all propagated with each other? We would end up with animal hybrids that God never invented himself.

It is possible for some species to interreed. Like tigers and lions. Mules are also a good example of interbreeding. But any interbreeding that takes place is generally between animals that look very much alike/have the same characteristics. This happened with the mule

But you will never see a deer-rabbit, or a horse-cow.

In other words. Only animals that share the same genus can interbreed, as I stated before with the mule, which comes from a horse and a donkey. It also is possible for animals within the same species, like goats and sheep.

Other reasons why interbreeding would not happen is because animals are not attracted to eachother in that way, if they are not from the same species ofcourse. That is why the deer/rabbit couple that was posted earlier will never try anything with eachother, and even if they would, they could try all they want, nothing would happen.
