  • Wash O'Hanley

I haven't heard Wash O'Hanley on the radio for several weeks now. Is he working on another book? His replacement, Russ Savage is OK, but he's no Wash O'Hanley. I'm a die-hard Wash O'Hanley "echo-head", so I can hardly wait until he gets back.

I believe that he has had a richly deserved holiday, Brother. It is to be hoped that he is soon back and striking the telling blows for the Lord that we are accustomed to from him.
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

When I was on my honeymoon with my husband, Mr. Whitford, we were hoping for a little Brother Wash over the internet tubes to keep our spirits up and remind us of home, but sadly he was away. Fortunately, we had Jesus and witnessing to keep us busy. That, and Pastor Deacon Fred on our iPods.

I heard the GodTunes store is offering his sermons for download at only eighty dollars a piece. Is this glorious rumor true?

Only if the buyer has a Landover TC identity card. For unSaved trash, it's still $99.99 (and worth every penny).

            Re: Wash O'Hanley

I apologize for my absence these past several weeks but it was high time Wash took a vacation. Over the years I have built a reputation as one of the most devoted pundits in all of the south eastern Iowa Christian radio world but even the best of us need a little time off and my rigorous 3 hours on the air five times a week can definitely wear down even the most seasoned pundit.

My workaholicism is no secret in the radio world but unfortunately I am not the pundit I was years ago and the ravages of age have limited my abilities. I can no longer even think of pulling some of the reckless stunts I did in my prime which got me my name; like the time I stayed up 96 consecutive hours during the Lewinskigate providing valued punditry. Around hour 65 I was convinced my stagehand, Mark, was a ninja assassin sent by Cokie Roberts to murder me and I viciously attacked him in the men's bathroom with my mic, using the stand as a bludgeon and the cord as an apparatus to strangle him. Don't worry about Mark- last I heard he made a full recovery and is now enjoying a lucrative position as a greeter at WAL*MART.

I just hope Russ was able to relay the vital information in America and the world to you, even if his insight and opinion are not as cutting and razor-sharp as mine. A lot has happened in the world while I was gone but you can sleep well tonight knowing that starting next Monday I will be back with new shows to tell you how you should feel on all of the most recent developments around the world.

P.S. I hope my listeners were able to dissect and glean new information from the repeats of the Wash O'Hanley and the Bay City Rollers Saturday Morning Debate Hour show circa 1976- it may be old but there are many facets and layers to my show that cannot possibly be completely absorbed in only one listening.

Well Praise Jesus its good to have you back, Brother Wash. Russ did a fine job subbing for you, but it just wasn't the same without your golden tones and incisive insights on any and everything the world throws our way. I can't wait to hear your take on this Paul Wolfowitz debacle.

No offense, but I was a bit confused by those shows, Wash. All I know is I'm prepared to "rock it up, roll it up, do it all, have a ball, Saturday night, Saturday night," and that Gerald Ford is one of Our Greatest Presidents.

I stopped into one of Freehold's many Bible stores recently and noticed they had a new item for sale. True Christians™ will be pleased to know that there is a new accouterment for the famous iPod, not only does it chase the demons from Apple away, but it is the perfect way to listen to Brother Wash's podcasts.

Praise Jesus! I missed your fine work, Brother Wash. Your replacement was okay, but sometimes he was a little too liberal for my tastes. Do you know that he thinks waterboarding is as far as our fine interrogators should go in getting information in the mostly won War on Terrorism.
