Both kinds have their strong and weak points. Calvinism's sure and swift justice is appealing but OTOH some of it doesn't compute. Modern Baptists consider Calvin a "founding father" so to speak but don't swallow his pronouncements whole. The other....well, I'm not too sure about Armerians. That's like the Khardashians. IMO, they should go back to Yerevan.

Really, I always understood that the majority of Baptists disliked being called Calvinists. I'm amazed you do not know what an Arminian is.

No in depth explanation is required. One could easily be something else. Those are simply two seeming-belief systems. Calvinism posits predestination, for example, and Arminianism posits free will. Yet there are and endless series of alternative explanations for things that occur besides those two alone.

I might have some problems with “American” since it's my 3rd to 4th language; but apparently you have problems either with dementia or cognition, since you didn’t “say” nor write what you’ve just claimed.
