In England there were laws introduced by Mrs Thatcher's Conservative administration (I think there was a link to her Woman's Own interview on "Society" in my earlier post) which required employers to provide access for disabled employees: the government would pay for them. Usually that would mean ramps, perhaps a lift or a modified office but it could mean anything at all including from a complete business restructuring to a change in market sector, new premises, new vehicles if necessary. Uptake was very low.

There is something I don't understand, I always thought that the bible was promoting a peaceful society where people care for each other. But if I read what you are saying, it seems to be the opposite. These are your words:

Is that really what Jesus (or you for that matter) wants?

Then again it is hard to find a group of people other than your own that you do like. I'm not even talking about disagreeing here, you truly hate and dispise people with another mindset.
