    Here we are

    Hi,
    Just wanted to do this introduction. I am saved and my favorite verse is John 3:16.

    I also want to say that no matter what I know my spirit belongs with God, no matter the views of myself or those who surround me.

      What does John 3:16 tell you about the nature of God and Jesus?

          I go to a missionary baptist church, and John 3:16 reminds me of the ultimate sacrifice God gave for his children of Eden and that every day I must fight the evil that is the harbinger of death for mankind.

          And also, I have no clue what your statement about my "username" has anything to do with my faith, nor did I know it would be interpreted as Jewish. My apologies

            It's a Hebrew word meaning "emanations" and you didn't think a Hebrew word could be interpreted as Jewish? What are you, an idiot? What did you think it meant?

                  I know what I use it for: a handle, a username. It derived from one of what you would like to call a tool of the Devil: a video game. The name is of a character from said tool. Besides that, I am very well versed in the English language.

                      A video game? You bring to Landover Baptist a name you thought came from some stupid video game? That's like accidentally bringing a black person to a Klan rally. We are a CHRISTIAN forum. We have only limited patience for the Jewish names, but recognize the Christian tradition necessarily includes old Jewish concepts.

                            I go to a Missionary Baptist church. I consider myself to be non-denominational though, to be quite honest. I apologize for my username bringing offense to this forum, and I meant no harm. If changing it is an option, then I will gladly utilize that option.

                            I know in my heart that I am saved; I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior, and I know that he died for our sins - a tragedy he accepted so that God's children may have Salvation from the Hellfire and Eternal Damnation.

                            I accept that my ignorance is my sin, and I strive harder each day to purge my soul of the evil that is within me due to my ignorance. I believe a young lamb learns to follow the herd as time goes by.
