  • What the Bible says about wet dreams

We all know women are unclean for seven days when they are menstruating (Lev 15:19), but did you know your teenage son is unclean if he has a wet dream? There are two passages that deal with the subject.

Lev 15:16-17 And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even. And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even.

Deut 23:10-11 If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp: but it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again.

I've been through this with my fourteen-year-old son recently, and I'd like to share with you how God helped me as a father through this so that when the time comes for your teenage son, you'll be prepared. I have identified two hurdles when it comes to enforcing God's law on this matter. First, your son probably won't tell you when he's had a wet dream. Second, frequency: given the hassle associated with having wet dreams, you don't want your son to have them too often.

Your son will probably be too embarrassed to tell you when he's had a wet dream, and in some cases may not even be aware he has had one. As your son approaches puberty, get your wife to inspect his bedsheets, underwear and pajamas every morning for semen stains. If a stain is found, your son must be quarantined for the entire day. He cannot go to school or church or eat with the rest of the family. You should make a hut in your backyard specifically for this purpose. The semen-stained clothes and bedsheets will need to be washed; and because your wife has touched the defiled clothing, she too will be unclean until evening.

To reduce the frequency of wet dreams, make sure your son prays every night before bed for God to shield his dreams and protect him from his flesh as he sleeps. Remind your son that he should not be thinking about sex, as it is a sin to commit lust in your heart (). Tell him that if in a half-asleep state he becomes aware that he is about to lose retention of his issue, he must try with all his might to stop the flow. It is extremely painful but possible to do, and it will save him from losing a whole day. If your son persists to have frequent wet dreams, you may need to try a spermatorrhoea ring to ensure he wakes up at the first hint of tumescence.

Although wet dreams mainly affect teenagers, men can continue to have wet dreams into their twenties. If you still struggle with wet dreams into early adulthood, make sure you are following Philippians 4:8 and filling your mind with only good and pure thoughts. Pray before bedtime. Wake your wife up in the middle of the night for sex if you think you're at risk of having a nocturnal emission. Sadly, these days, most bosses don't like their employees taking the day off because they've had a wet dream. If worst comes to worst, you may need to try a spermatorrhoea ring.

I just feel really blessed to have been made a man. Semen is not as unclean as menstrual blood; it only makes one unclean for one day as opposed to seven. Praise the Lord!
sigpicMt 21:42, 44 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes . . . ? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

I'm always so in awe of God' love when I give birth to a child blessed with a pair of testicles rather than ovaries! But anyway, Brother Pendergast, I thought I'd offer something that helps in the Etheldreda home. We have our fair number of teenage boys here and they know better than to suffer nocturnal emissions by Satan's hand. One thing we have done since they were babies is to put each child in their own set of Armor of God Pajamas each night to sleep. This is their sleeping uniforms until marriage when they move out and start multiplying on their own. This helps to remind them as they drift off to sleep, and I like to think it puts out a kind of spiritual beacon, like infrared light that only God can see, to note when and where they are sleeping in case they need extra protection from the devil.

We also use bedwetting alarms with all the boys. Let me tell you, there is nothing more helpful at taming the habit of sleep-time lusts like hearing a loud alarm go off, the excitement of the entire family suddenly forced out of bed, running from room to room to see who needs prayer and support from a loving mother, father, and siblings.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Wow! Those are some fancy gadgets. Here at the Hutchins house, I simply bare the conductors of some 18 gage lamp cord and lay it over the bed. If moisture is detected, the current flows and my bedside lamp dims.

      Leviticus 15:16-18
16 And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even.
17 And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even.
18 The woman also with whom man shall lie with seed of copulation, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the even.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Oh, Saint Mary, these pics of little boys in PJs and underwear are causing ME wet dreams. Did you post them as a late Valentines Day present for me?
Of course as a Catholic Priest of God I will pray thatb they wont smirk themselves. Not when there a so many lonely coreligionists from my church
Ex 20:4-5 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; <--- That includes Mary
