    Andy griffith show

    For Christmas I got a box set of season three.
    At first it struck me how good of a parent Andy taylor is. It seems he is a good role model. He's not afraid to use a belt on Opie. He dates respectable ladies who wear decent clothes.
    BUT!!!!
    Floyd has to be gay. There's even an episode, Floyd the GAY deciever!

    And just what happened to Andy's wife? Did she die or run off with the Fuller brush salesman?

    What about Barney? Yes, he dates Thelma Lou, but he should get married. Over all it seems wholesome enough to watch and as long as you supervise your children and point out the sinful parts, I'd say it's safe to let a 14 y.o. and up watch it.

    The Andy Griffith Show has always been banned from my television. Any program with characters named "Gomer" and "Goober" is surely in league with Satan.

      Yes, Gomer was inded gay now that I think about it, but he wasn't in but one or two episodes in the season I have. But Goober at that time wasn't so bad, was it?

        Aunt Bee is a lesbian if I've ever seen one. Here she is spurning the advances of a man under the pretense that she is a Christian woman, when in reality she is simply hankering for cooter.



        The woman was always in the kitchen baking pies. There's something very Freudian about that, not that I normally give any credence to Freud's crackpot theories. I most certainly never wanted to have sex with my mother.

          By the look on Barn's face, I would bet he IS gay. He looks like he is clearly yearning for Opies behind!

                  Andy Taylor did a fine job as sheriff, though, as you'll notice the total lack of nigras in Mayberry; it's a shame he was a closet homer.

                      Were there any shows that were ok? The filth on tv today has numbed me to how bad it has always been.
