Friends -
I'm beginning to see the value in Newt Gingrich. Sure, he may not be an ideal President, but he should surely be in the Cabinet.
Why?
His economic proposal, of course!
Months ago, Gingrich went on record as against child labor laws.
Now, we've been talking for a long time about the export of American jobs to China and other places which don't have our child labor laws. A staffer close to Gingrich has leaked his "workhouse" proposal:

FoxConn facility

Look at these happy youngsters at FoxConn!
They do it the old-fashioned way -- by hand.

And just look at these luxurious accommodations! Bunk beds with mosquito nets, even!
Imagine, Brothers and Sisters. All those children currently failing out of inner-city schools, subsisting on welfare, taken and put to work in a clean, safe factory, earning a paycheck, supporting themselves, and learning a valuable trade -- electronics assembly. Then those children who choose to succeed in school can have the attention of teachers, instead of the battlefield schools currently are.
It's a win-win. And repatriates American companies, to produce goods here instead of in China!

Under the "American Workhouse" system, children not well suited for the educational system can be removed from overcrowded inner-city schools and welfare-supported homes. Instead, they will live at factories patterned after FoxConn's successful Shenzhen, China facility, which presently employs and houses 430,000 employees -- many under the age of 14, and working up to 16 hours a day.
