  • The "Big Bang"

    I'm talking about creation!!

Atheists want us to believe that the universe was created instantly billions of years ago. While it's possible that God could have created the universe that way, really it took a few days longer than that.

Seven days!! To create all the creatures, the earth, the day and night! That's quite a feat. You don't see that happening all the time.

If something like that happened today, that would make quite a bang!

Well, the original creation sure counts as a "Big Bang" in my book! Don't need no 'theories' to prove that one!
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

It's amazing how the scientists got the general concept right, got the timing wrong by a factor of several million, and completely ignore the only plausible reason for it happening at all--so God would have a place for us humans to inhabit while awaiting Judgment Day.

You meant to say by a factor of several billion, but that's beside the point. If God created the Earth in seven days, why did He rush? Why not take the time to make the Earth a little bit better if He's got an eternity.

In my perspective there's either two things that are true: (1) God did not create the universe or (2) our God is an untillegent one.
I would like you to meet my imaginary friend, God.

God has to be The Creator. It says so in The Bible (even the feel good one's).
Now, God is kinda special. You have to be kinda special to do all of this creating Planet stuff. He doesn't rush, he doesn't need to. You see, God is Eternal.
A day in God's life isn't a day in a persons life. Oh no. When God mentions "days" they are HIS days, which for obvious reasons last a whole lot longer than our mere 24 hour days.

Then again, God being so special and so clever I dare say that if he wanted to, he could do it anyway just to prove it to you.
But I guess he has more important things to do.

Also keep in mind our way of measuring the length of a day depends on the movement of the sun across the sky. We don't know how GOD measured the length of a day before the Earth was created. Some things we will never understand, as even men don't have the brain power it takes to recognize all of GOD's wisdom.

Is that so? I suppose the thought that perhaps you are the one lacking in brain-power never crossed your mind?

From my logic, my brain-power exceeds that of your God.

Ling Bling, not even a die hard atheist can defend your accusation. Don't pretend your instinct and trust in unfalisifiable theory is better then anyone else's instinct and trust in unfalsifiable theory.

He's not my God (I'm Pagan), but someone who intends to enter into a battle of wits ought to come more than half prepared, as I see you obviously have. When calling someone's intelligence into question, especially that of a deity, you really ought to be sure that your grammar, spelling, and diction are all in order. Otherwise, you end up looking the fool. "It is better to be thought a fool and remain silent than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."

If you think grammar or spelling expresses one's intelligence, then you're more of a fool than the radical christians that exist on this forum.

My grammar, spelling, or diction does not mean I can't question the intelligence of a deity.

Ha!! That's what you get for going against the facts of the Bible.

No wonder God made him a Cripper.

Maybe....the scary thing is though, he could probably kill us with his mind.

                          Also:

For you to admit that, tells me that I can't argue with you because your too idiotic.

If a person can't speak English, but perhaps, German, is that person also not intelligent?
