Re: Is God as Strong as a Unicorn?

I genuinely cannot tell whether this post is a joke or not. I found it on stumbleupon, which generally presents humor, but I am simply at a loss regarding the topics of discussion.

As a responsible, voting, American adult, I am speechless.

    Additionally, this:

The information presented here is Biblically accurate. Opinions concerning the technical difficulties, fitness requirements, safety, and ratings of self-crucifixion, flagellation, stoning, destroying enemies of GOD utterly, without mercy, and other activities inherent in Christianity are subjective and may differ from yours or others' opinions; therefore be warned that you must exercise your own judgment as to the difficulty and your ability to safely protect yourself from the inherent risks and dangers. Do not use the information provided on this site unless you are a True Christian ™ who understands and accepts the risks of participating in these activities.

The name True Christian is trademarked? That, my friends, is monetary greed alone.

Also: fitness requirements, safety, and ratings of self-crucifixion, flagellation, stoning, destroying enemies of GOD utterly, without mercy, and other activities inherent in Christianity

That is not Christianity. Christianity is loving one another and showing compassion to your fellow humans and through your LOVE and COMPASSION perhaps they will think you are on to something. Anything less than love, understanding, and compassion for all and God will turn his cheek to you.

    That is all.

Indeed, it would indicate that God did not exist! But He does and so do unicorns!

How can you compare something to the strength of a unicorn, if the unicorn does not exist?

God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.
I don't know about any other references to unicorns in the bible, but this one doesn't imply the existence of unicorns at all. In fact I would say it implies the opposite.

That quote is comparing the strength of a unicorn favorably to God, so it would be an insult to him if such a creature existed that could rival his strength.

I think the author was just making a comparison to a well-known mythical creature, though it seems the concept of a unicorn has changed with time.

-btw I'm an atheist, just stumbled upon this page.

If scientists are allowed to believe loads of fossils of so called humans of the past revealing so called evolution of humans exist but are not yet found, why can't we believe evidence of unicorns is out there?

I'm humouring the atheist here, because if God says there are unicorns, there are.
