How can you possibly believe in god as an all-knowing, all powerful being, and then spout out that Jesus found a loophole in his all powerful will. At least if you're going to debate, use your words a little more carefully. There are no loopholes to god's laws. Again, if you believe that, you are no christian, and you don't believe in what you say you believe in.

From what I gather, which is exactly what I've gathered from so many christians, is that you don't believe in god, the one laid before you in the old testament, you believe only in jesus christ. So leave god out of it.

My insight comes from independent thought and reason, not from following words given to bronze aged people who thought an earthquake was god stomping his foot, and sacrificed rams in order for the rain to fall.

Further, if you claim the right to know the truth, and claim the right to "witness" to other people this truth, claim the right to pass judgement on others, then I claim the right to know the truth as well, the right to "witness" to you is within my power. Notice that in none of what I've said have I condemned you to eternal torment. God is a proper noun when referring to God and as such should be capitalised. This isn't a religious point, its an English point. I do think He (the capital there is a religious point) would care though. He (not a religious point in this case - simply the start of a sentence, but I would have capitalised anyway) created language and would expect us to use it properly.

You haven't challenged my faith to the core. I accept it deserves a challenge but as of this moment I've put you in the category of "people who don't know what they're talking about" not "people who challenge my faith to the core". Not that that can't change later, but for the moment thats how it is.

I hope you're trolling. So your logic is that god found a loophole in god's own law? So by saying that, none of the laws that god ever created are without repudiation because there are loopholes in them, but only god can find them. So in essence, god is his own false prophet, who claims to know everything about the universe and says so, but then also says he is wrong sometimes.

So, I think I just pretty clearly pointed out that I'm not the one over-complicating anything.

Jesus Christ was no outlaw. He upheld the doctrines of the Old Testament in every instance, except when He rescinded the dietary laws and found a loophole for the sacrificial laws. How does Jesus contradict the Old Testament?
