Frankly I'm surprised the people he was having sex with were adults, what with being a priest, and all.

    From The Daily Fail:
'I'm so glad my affair secret is out', says Catholic bishop as husband threatens to sue church bosses who 'knew for years'

A leading bishop who has resigned in shame over an affair said last night that he was ‘relieved’ the secret was out.

Kieran Conry, the Roman Catholic Bishop of Arundel and Brighton, confessed on Saturday to being an ‘unfaithful’ priest.

He also stands accused of a second affair with a married parishioner 20 years his junior, who spent at least three nights at his home.

Last night, Catholic Church leaders were accused of a cover-up, with a lawyer saying they have ‘known for years that the bishop has been having affairs’.

The lawyer is representing the husband of a 43-year-old parishioner to whom the bishop had become close, and claimed he was considering a possible High Court action against church chiefs.

Arrested by "Vatican gendarmes?" Are those the Swiss guys in the gay-themed hammer pants? Because, even at 66, I think I'd be able to outrun some homo carrying a halbard and wearing a feather boa for a helmet:

The Pope probably didn't even arrest him for child porn. I think he was arrested for refusing to share his stash with the other priests.

    Noodle-slurping Eurotrash "news" source:
Child Porn Found Former Nuncio’s Computer

ROME - Monsignor Józef Wesołowski kept a secret archive on a computer at the Santo Domingo nunciature. The 66-year-old Polish former archbishop, arrested three days ago for paedophilia by Vatican gendarmes at the order of Pope Francis, had more than 100,000 files containing pornographic photos and videos. Some were downloaded from internet and others the victims themselves were forced to take. The prelate stored part of this chamber of horrors on his own laptop. Images show youngsters aged between 13 and 17 being humiliated for the camera, filmed naked and forced to have sexual relations with each other or with adults.

    * * *

When he was brought before prosecutors to be served with a detention order last Tuesday, Wesołowski said he wanted to make a statement: “I can clear my position and explain the mistake”.
Oh, yeah, I am so sure he can.

Usually, I'd applaud a rebuke of "married" sodomites even by a cult as blatantly false as the Roman institution, but in this case, something about motes, beams, and eyes applies.

    Sodomite "news" source:
Yet another gay employee of a Roman Catholic institution has lost his job because of his marriage.

In the latest example, Minneapolis–St. Paul archbishop John Nienstedt has demanded the resignation of Jamie Manzi-Moore, music director at St. Victoria Catholic Church in Victoria, Minn., reports Twin Cities TV station WCCO. Manzi-Moore, who married his partner, Garrett, last weekend, said he would comply with the request and expected to turn in his resignation today.

    * * *

In Minnesota, Nienstedt has been a controversial archbishop. He has been accused of making unwelcome sexual advances to other men and of mishandling sexual abuse allegations against priests in the archdiocese. He has denied the first claim, and on the second, has said he never knowingly covered up sexual abuse by priests under his supervision, although he may have been too trusting of his colleagues.

Apparently, Mystery Babylon has her spinmeisters on the case.

    Mary-hailing "news" source:
Vatican: Disgraced Papal Nuncio Not Immune to Civil Prosecution

VATICAN CITY — The Vatican countered media reports that it protected a former nuncio who faces sex abuse charges through diplomatic immunity, saying instead that the Holy See acted justly and swiftly in the case.

Father Federico Lombardi, director of Holy See Press Office, stated that former apostolic nuncio to the Dominican Republic Josef Wesolowski — following charges and a guilty verdict of sexual misconduct — has been removed from his post as nuncio, and thus no longer has diplomatic immunity.

The former nuncio may “be subjected to judicial procedures from the courts that could have specific jurisdiction over him” in the Dominican Republic, Father Lombardi said in an Aug. 25 statement.
We'll see how much the Roman institution actually cooperates, though:
Wesolowski’s penal trial before Vatican authorities will begin after the appeal is considered and the canonical sentence is definite. The Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith also needs to complete the verification of the charges levied against him.
If I may shift gears, a GRID-infected priest in Ohio is on trial for trying to put the make on an undercover park ranger.

    Diseased-pariah-enabling "news" source:
Cleveland Priest Will Be Tried Under HIV Criminalization Law

A judge in Cleveland has ruled that the trial of a priest charged under an HIV criminalization law can go forward, despite the defense attorney's arguments that the law is based on outdated medical information.

Reverend James McGonegal, former pastor of St. Ignatius of Antioch Church, is charged with a felony for allegedly soliciting sex from an undercover park ranger last October without telling his prospective partner that he is HIV-positive. McGonegal’s defense attorney, Henry Hilow, contended.

The Roman institution is trying to keep a kiddy-fiddler from being tried in the country where he committed his crimes.

    From the JYT:
For Nuncio Accused of Abuse, Dominicans Want Justice at Home, Not Abroad

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic — He was a familiar figure to the skinny shoeshine boys who work along the oceanfront promenade here. Wearing black track pants and a baseball cap pulled low over his balding head, they say, he would stroll along in the late afternoon and bring one of them down to the rocky shoreline or to a deserted monument for a local Catholic hero.

The boys say he gave them money to perform sexual acts. They called him “the Italian” because he spoke Spanish with an Italian accent.

    * * *

But far from settling the matter, the Vatican has stirred an outcry because it helped Mr. Wesolowski avoid criminal prosecution and a possible jail sentence in the Dominican Republic. Acting against its own guidelines for handling abuse cases, the church failed to inform the local authorities of the evidence against him, secretly recalled him to Rome last year before he could be investigated, and then invoked diplomatic immunity for Mr. Wesolowski so that he could not face trial in the Dominican Republic.
But the Roman institution may have overplayed its hand, since people in that majority Catholic country are finally seeing the mother of harlots and abominations for who she really is:
The case has shaken this stalwart Catholic nation, but the church has said little. In one group photograph released by the Dominican bishops, Mr. Wesolowski’s face appeared to have been removed from the picture.

“The people used to say, ‘I want my child to go to a Catholic church,’ ” said the Rev. Rogelio Cruz, a Catholic priest here. “Now they say, ‘No child of mine is ever going to a Catholic church.’ ”
    Shout glory!

    Sister,

    Most baffling.

I surmise the only answer - IF THESE STATISTICS ARE NOT FAKE - is that the 2% represents those cat lick clergy that enter their false priesthood because of the ample supply of raw catamite material - altar boys - available at cat lick seminaries. The remainding 98% turn homerpedophiles because of the Satanic influences provided by the cat lick teachings. Thus, by the time the originally straight or adult homer -oriented cat lick false priests enter their working life they are also ready to enter their young victims rectally.

Thus, the 2% is the proportion of pedophiles that enter the semennary. 100% is the proportion that enters boys when they exit.

    As to the pope's vowing

    Deuteronomy 23:18
Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

    Yours in Christ,

    Elmer

Nienstedt issued a statement calling the accusations a “personal attack against me due to my unwavering stance on issues consistent with church teaching, such as opposition to so-called same-sex marriage.” He elaborated in an interview with Commonweal, saying, “I have never engaged in sexual misconduct and certainly have not made any sexual advances toward anyone. The allegations are a decade old or more, prior to my service as archbishop of St. Paul and Minneapolis.” He added that “none of the allegations involve minors or illegal or criminal behavior.”

And the "Worst Liar" award goes to....

St. Louis Archbishop Didn't Know Sex With Children Was a Crime
The St. Louis Archbishop embroiled in a sexual abuse scandal testified last month that he didn’t know in the 1980s whether it was illegal for priests to have sex with children, according to a court deposition released Monday.

Archbishop Robert Carlson, who was chancellor of the Archdiocese of Minneapolis and St. Paul at the time, was deposed as part of a lawsuit against the Twin Cities archdiocese and the Diocese of Winona, Minnesota.

In a video released by the St. Paul law firm Jeff Anderson & Associates, the Catholic archbishop is asked whether he had known it was a crime for an adult to engage in sex with a child.

“I’m not sure whether I knew it was a crime or not,” Carlson responded. “I understand today it’s a crime.”

When asked when he first realized it was a crime for an adult — including priests — to have sex with a child, Carlson, 69, shook his head.

    “I don’t remember,” he testified.
