If by "politician" you mean "a person who simplifies stuff out so the dumb masses can understand him" (= "a person who speaks in parables"), then the answer is yes.

Anyway, if you bothered to actually read that Judges verse in context, you would have known that Jotham was not a politician (in the dictionary meaning of that word), but an innocent member of the 1%, mercilessly persecuted by the 99% (of course, God eventually punished these ungodly 99%, Judges 9:57).

I gave it some thought and this is what I could come up with:

The Bible tells us plants can talk: Judges 9:8-15. Pretty clear. I found a phytopathologist and he told me plants can communicate, though he didn´t use the word ¨talking¨. It had to do with small airborne molecules to mostly signal distress. As I understood it different types of molecules signal different types of stress. Other plants and insects pick up these signals and can act on it.

It seems the scientist and Christians more or less agree on this matter. I couldn´t find a pagan so I could not verify their position on this important matter.

    Same thing for the sharks.

Mercy me, but how did I miss this one?

Well Mister Smartypants, scientists claim that birds evolved from dinosaurs. So, where are the dinosaurs?

You can't have it both ways. They can't both evolve into something else and therefore not be here and evolve into something else and still be here.

This is why nobody with any sense takes evolution seriously. Holes big enough to drive a bus through. Nothing at all like the Bible which is 100% consistent.

There is no such thing as a "natural" disaster. You see when really bad things happen (like you get eaten by wild beasts, get killed in war, get sick and die, etc.), then you'll know that it was God that did it to you. And you'll thank Him for it, if you know what's good for you!

Ezekiel 14:13 Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:

14:15 If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts:

14:17 Or if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it:

14:19 Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:

14:21 For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?

People from China kill a lot more sharks than the other way around. I´m not sure how many Chinese have been eaten by sharks but I doubt it is significant on the whole of the population. The Chinese did catch a lot of sharks. If evolution were true, we would probably see a lot less tasty (in the eyes of the Chinese) sharks but not a lot less Chinese.

Now I´m thinking of ordering Chinese...

    Answer that one, smart guy.

    YIC
Someone who thinks evolution is a plausible theory will probably say evolution does not ´know´ but just happens, or in this case, hardly happened. Sharks seem to be extremely well adapted to their environment for the moment, as their environment changes however, evolution may take it´s toll. Survival of the fittest (those who can out swim the Chinese or taste like crap) may cause some sharks to disappear, their place being taken by other species. Hence evolution. The population of Chinese seems to have grown the last few 100´s of million of years so the sharks might be in a bit of a tight spot.

Luckily I know better, should some of the sharks die out I´ll just blame it on a faulty design. I won´t blame my God, everyone can make a mistake while being drunk.
