    Shal.

    I am Shal.

    I'm an atheist.

Therefore, as an atheist, I seek knowledge and truth.

The truth being that "God" and "Jesus" are the biggest lies that have ever been told.

I can question your "God" all I want, and I expect him to give me an answer.

    Too bad he won't.

    Cause he can't.

Cause that which dosn't exist can't reply.

    What do they expect?
Of course God won't listen to them, as they have turned their back on His laws!

He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
    Proverbs 28:9

The LORD is far from the wicked:
But he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

Truly, the Love of our Lord knows no bounds!

He will even deceive us to make us strong in our faith and love of Him!

Not only does God hate being put to the test, but He may also fudge the results to ensure that we are placing unthinking faith in Him, as He demands:

Deuteronomy 13:1-3: If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

In other words, when the evidence contradicts the Word of God, the evidence is wrong and may even be there to test your faith.

This really frosts my communion wafer. Everyone knows from quantum mechanics that objective observations of quantum phenomena are precluded by the indeterminably probabilistic nature of the phenomena themselves. Which simply means that observation influences outcomes.

Needless to say, the world is chock-full of God-hating scientists who couldn't care less, when their own pointy heads factor into the results obtained from their precious cyclotron collisions. THAT they think is simply swell and justification for submitting another $15,000,000 invoice to the general public for a bigger cyclotron. I mean, is anyone surprised their hoodoo physics generate results justifying their hoodoo physics? God's not surprised, I'll tell you that.

These scientists' quantum logic foists results upon us that were determined prior to anyone flipping an accelerator switch on an unsuspecting ion beam -- AND YET these scientists presume to tell us their experiments prove prayer fails?!?

In God's quantum world, you don't get to have it every which way but loose. And in fact, if a Godless scientist proves prayer doesn't work, then THAT is as solid an evidence of prayer's efficacy as we are ever going to get! Say AMEN SOMEBODY!

My thoughts exactly. How do you expect Our Saviour to co-operate with unbelievers? We're not supposed to put God to the test. I think Jesus showed a great deal of compassion by resisting the urge to reach down and rip their hearts right out of their chests. That's what I would have done.

Why does the study assume the prayers were for a good recovery?

Anyway why would prayer change things? Jesus gave or allowed the patients to get heart disease in the first place.

Modern doctors are 99% dothead cow-worshippers, so it seems likely. Besides, this wasn't just prayer: this was prayer being harnessed to the ends of secular science, putting the needs of seculiar science before God. No wonder He got angry.

'In fact, patients who knew they were being prayed for had a slightly higher rate of complications.'

Those who are prayed for are doing wors than those who aren't prayed for apparently. Perhaps because Jesus has decided to kill the patient, and hates it when people come nagging to please not kill their loved ones He may be punishing them by making it even worse for them...

But if that is true, modern doctors are all hellbound for going against His will, or is this unlikely?

    Science Mocks God Again

In a supposedly "fair and unbiased" research study, a bunch of monkey-worshiping scientists have "discovered" that prayer doesn't help their patients. If this wasn't rigged from the start, then I don't know what was.

Power of prayer flunks an unusual test

Large study had Christians pray for heart-surgery patients

NEW YORK - In the largest study of its kind, researchers found that having people pray for heart bypass surgery patients had no effect on their recovery. In fact, patients who knew they were being prayed for had a slightly higher rate of complications.

Researchers emphasized that their work can't address whether God exists or answers prayers made on another's behalf. The study can only look for an effect from prayers offered as part of the research, they said.

They also said they had no explanation for the higher complication rate in patients who knew they were being prayed for, in comparison to patients who only knew it was possible prayers were being said for them.

Critics said the question of God's reaction to prayers simply can't be explored by scientific study.

The work, which followed about 1,800 patients at six medical centers, was financed by the Templeton Foundation, which supports research into science and religion. It will appear in the American Heart Journal.

Dr. Herbert Benson of Harvard Medical School and other scientists tested the effect of having three Christian groups pray for particular patients, starting the night before surgery and continuing for two weeks. The volunteers prayed for "a successful surgery with a quick, healthy recovery and no complications" for specific patients, for whom they were given the first name and first initial of the last name.

The patients, meanwhile, were split into three groups of about 600 apiece: those who knew they were being prayed for, those who were prayed for but only knew it was a possibility, and those who weren't prayed for but were told it was a possibility.

The researchers didn't ask patients or their families and friends to alter any plans they had for prayer, saying such a step would have been unethical and impractical.

The study looked for any complications within 30 days of the surgery. Results showed no effect of prayer on complication-free recovery. But 59 percent of the patients who knew they were being prayed for developed a complication, versus 52 percent of those who were told it was just a possibility.

Dr. Harold G. Koenig, director of the Center for Spirituality, Theology and Health at the Duke University Medical Center, who didn't take part in the study, said the results didn't surprise him.

"There are no scientific grounds to expect a result and there are no real theological grounds to expect a result either," he said. "There is no god in either the Christian, Jewish or Moslem scriptures that can be constrained to the point that they can be predicted."

Within the Christian tradition, God would be expected to be concerned with a person's eternal salvation, he said, and "why would God change his plans for a particular person just because they're in a research study?"

Science, he said, "is not designed to study the supernatural."
The only thing this ridiculous "study" actually proved was that prayer from unsaved scum has no effect, and that all the prayer in the world will not spare anyone that Jesus has decided to kill. To even suggest that prayers from a filthy Christ-killing jew could be held to the same standard as the prayer from a True Christian™ is beyond absurd; its downright blasphemous!
