Hello, Gabriel. Your efforts to answer these questions are deeply appreciated. However, they might be fruitless for two reasons:

1) Faith in this lovely community is stronger than actual evidence,
2) When you defend the scientific point of view, it is advisable to fact-check what you're actually saying -- in other words, to actually know what you're saying.

For instance:

1) The earth is 6,000 years old, therefore dinosaurs cannot have walked the earth. Seriously? The earth is 4.5 billion years old (approximately). 99.999999% of all scientists on the planet believe this to be a fact. There is a mountain of evidence for it. Carbon-14 dating has proved it,

Not at all. C14 dating is useful only for recent remains, up to 40,000 years, and is not particularly reliable even within that period. Therefore, it is not useful in geology, unless you're dating something from the end of the Pleistocene: a very tiny portion of the geologic time.

There is more evidence for this fact than there is for the bible actually being 2000 years old, and there is a lot of evidence of the bible's age.

If you knew anything about the age of the Bible you'd know that most of it is not 2000 years old - most of it is much older.

2) Dinosaur fossils are not made out of rock, nor are they bones. A fossil is an impression left in rock.

You're thinking of a cast. Like what people burned alive by God's intervention in the form of a volcano eruption in Pompeii.

A fossil is an actual bone, not a cast, actually turned into stone, or fossilized.

Eight people have given definitions of fossils and not one bothered to actually look up the definition first.

The first fossil that we know of for sure was discovered in 1676 in England. It was a massive femur.

You deliberately chose to ignore what I wrote and made up something else instead. Clearly, you are an imbecile. It's not that science "can't make up its mind" it's that science chooses to not make up its mind, always looking for more information, always learning, always changing to include new information as we discover it.

Science also does not "throw away ideas when they become embarrassing," they discard ideas when a theory that fits the facts better becomes available.

Science does not "jump after whatever new idea is most fashionable." That is the most ridiculous statement of all. New theories are accepted because they fit the facts, not because they are "fashionable."

Let me see if I can demonstrate this to you. Since information clearly changes between the time you read it on the page and the time it makes it to your brain, it will be difficult, but I will try.

People used to believe that the earth was flat (yes, I know. You people still do, something that I plan to address with a YouTube video soon). Around the 6th century, someone proposed a round earth theory. It was not accepted at the time, and in fact, it did not become accepted by science until there was evidence to support it. When ships were able to sail around the world, people realized that the facts did not support the flat earth theory. By the time that Columbus sailed the ocean blue, in 1492, it was a widely accepted theory (which for all intents and purposes means fact, but science is not to so arrogant as to assume just because they have a theory that fits the facts that it is the only possible solution, which is why they are called theories).

When the facts proved that the earth was definitely not flat, scientists stopped believing it. Just as they did with all of the theories you listed. That what good science does. It discards what is obviously not true. If you people shared that same thirst for the truth you would discard all that crap you believe from the bible and start seeking out the truth, and understanding how our world works and the miracle of creation is worth a billion "religious experiences."

As for the bible being the most published/read/believed/etc. book in the world, that is true, but the Quran is only second by a very small margin on all of those factors. Does that mean it is the second truest book? Does the fact that something is popular mean it's true? 'Harry Potter Series' was some of the most popular books of the 20th century - does the popularity of the series mean that it must be true?

As for believing that the bible is without error or mistake, you obviously haven't done your research. The bible is full of mistakes and errors, not to mention abominable morality. I won't cite the hundreds of mistakes and errors, but I will include one or two as an example. We all know the value of pi is 3.141592653etc but according to I Kings that's incorrect. Ridiculous. Also, its kind of strange that all those satellites that run our cellphones were able to make it through the "firmament" that is supposed to make a roof over our "flat earth." Good lord. How can you believe this crap?

As for the 2500 or so "prophecies" that are supposed to have come true, almost all of them have only "come true" because it says they did in the bible. There is no outside evidence for any of them. The rest - they are so vague that how could you possibly call them prophecy? "There will be wars and rumors of wars." Good heck, that's like making a prophecy saying "People will eat food and drink water and have sex." OF COURSE THEY WILL! People have been warring their entire existence, it is not a stretch to think they would keep on doing it.

Anyway, I'm done with this forum. I thought that by giving you some factual information, you might actually close your bible and do some real research. That's obviously not going to happen, so I'm going to quit wasting my time.

Modern science bases current theories on all of the available facts, including any experiments that can be done (over and over) to prove or disprove a fact. Theories are discarded all the time in favor of new information. Science does not claim to have the exact truth, just the best possible theories to fit the facts.
