You're right. I may have been wrong about the moon not being 'locked' to the Earth in one direction. It was an insignificant claim that had no bearing on my original post. And i can use the tactic of "change topics quickly" as well!

Did you know that the moon goes through a cycle called lunar phases?
As the moon revolves around the Earth it will appear to shrink and grow to a curvalinnear slice on each side. That is the shadow of the Earth on the moon, with the Sun behind us casting the light and thus shadow

I am simply amazed. Thousands of years go by, then some one (a mere mortal person) gets an idea "Hey, maybe God is wrong and I am right". Suddenly, everyone changes their mind in some sort of mass hysteria.

True Christians™ are homeschooled using legitimate homeschooling curricula. So of course we learn science, like about the lies of evolution and the superabundance of missing links, the marked absence of crocoducks and such. We learn about Christian math, such as how Pi equals three in accordance with 1 Kings 7:23-26. We have learned the most important literature, which they do NOT teach at vile public schools, the KJV Bible. And we have learned about fascinating technology like Noah's Ark, the Ark of the Covenant, staves that turn into snakes, mud and spittle which Jesus applied to a blind man's face to heal him, and other implements of great power.

Friend, it is YOU who is ignorant and needs to open his eyes to the miraculous saving power of Jesus Christ.

I think a chimp is going to walk out of the jungle, look up in the sky, and notice that lunar cycles are a shadow of the Earth, not some "devils horns" voodoo hoodoo before some of the people in this wide world do.
