How do you know the child hasn't? the only problem was he was born in Africa or in other poor places. We can't choose where we were born, and if we can't get redemption from the lord because we are not American, then tell me whats the point?

Oh yes, I know about the mess with fair trade I was only using an example. Most of it is not as clean as it would like. LIke charities, not all the money goes to the people it whom it claims it does. It's most decpitve. There are a few fair trade operations we can trust.

I read an article on Fair Trade coffee recently.

Seems the coffee farmers were getting a whole three cents a pound more by selling to the "fair trade" people, who were charging double the regular price to American liberals.

Here's a different story on the same subject:

    Co-Opting Equality

Gregorio Martinez grows coffee on 30 hectares of land in Lepaera, Honduras, where he lives with his wife and four children. In 1998 Hurricane Mitch destroyed his crop, leaving him deep in debt; by 2004 he was set to lose his farm to foreclosure for lack of $800. That same year, he sent a bag of beans to the Princess Hotel in San Pedro Sula, where a U.S. nonprofit was hosting a contest known as Cup of Excellence. Martinez took top honors, attracted attention from buyers, and auctioned off his crop for $19,500. In his acceptance speech, he expressed relief that he would be able to pass his farm on to his family rather than the bank.

Martinez owns a small family farm and produces a high-quality coffee, but none of his beans carry the Fair Trade label. His farm isn't part of a cooperative, a Fair Trade non-negotiable that disqualifies small, independent farmers, larger family farms, and for that matter any multinational that treats its workers well. "It's like outlawing private enterprise," says former SCAA chair Cox, who now serves as president of a coffee consulting company. "What about a medium-sized family-owned farm that's doing great, treats their employees great? Sorry, they don't qualify." In Africa, many coffee farms are organized along tribal, not democratic lines. They're not eligible either, a problem that has prompted some roasters to charge cultural imperialism.

No Alexia, the child must repent of his depravity and accept Jesus as his personal savior. Until the child does that Jesus wants the child to work 14 hours a day making candy for the people Jesus loves.

We follow Jesus without question, as He told us to.

If we are richly rewarded for subjecting the heathens as instructed, does that make us "exploiters"? I think it just makes us the "faithful".

They don't count because they would be a) and American and b) not exploited if they really loved Christ. Do we TRUE Christians look exploited to you?

    Well said!

But why would someone who shows such good sense as you also hate Jesus?

Can't you see that God, realizing that His imperfect creation (humans) couldn't live up to His Law, incarnated Himself as a human so He could sacrifice Himself to Himself, so He wouldn't have to change the Laws?

Surely you can see the logic in the situation!

The real meaning behind he day has been lost, Right now shops are full to the brim of chocolate eggs, and children are saying 'gimmie gimmie' But not.. " what is special about this time?" How utterly sad. I detest commercialism.
As firm believers in Jesus perfect economic system capitalism we think commercialism is great. Jesus loves it when you buy stuff for His Holy Days. What we object to the attempted by the tree borthers to inject anti-Christian pagan symbolism into OUR holiday.

The Easter Bunny is an attack against Christ.
