So today I was surprised to learn about the Church of England's Pagan ritual of "Guy Fawkes Night" which takes place today.
Initially I assumed it was more dancing around the campfire wearing fancy hats and waving false idols as per standard weird Anglian practices.
However, apparently the ritual involves the burning of a Vaticanite:
