It is fairly obvious from these verses that those who believe in and worship God as He commands love Him, and that those that don't believe in Him and don't worship Him hate Him.

I think it also safe to say that atheists don't believe in God and therefore they don't worship Him.

So, atheists hate God. It's simple logic.

Obviously we can agree that Atheists are sinners for not believing in the Lord, but I read that line simply as saying they are bad people, but not that they hate God.

Sin is defined as rebellion against God (I Sam 15:23). Why would you rebel against God unless you hate Him? How could you rebel against something if you don't believe it exists? You can't. The fact that you are in a state of rebellion against God is proof that you believe He exists and that you hate Him.

Who should we trust to tell the truth about atheists? An atheist (bearing in mind that atheists are notorious liars), or a Christian (who has to tell the truth, otherwise they'll have to answer to God)? The answer seems pretty obvious to me.

Mr. Osborne, I'm afraid that passage doesn't explicitly state that Atheists hate God.

Not loving does not imply hatred. There are people I don't love, but by no means do I hate them.

And Ezekiel, I'm not trying to trip anyone up. Being of my age (in my teens) I'm looking for clarification on things I do not understand, or am curious about. If I can't follow God's word properly, how can I live a proper life?

Well God does exist so they are hating him. The opposite of love is hate, is it not?

They lack faith he exists, and since they lack faith that would mean they don't hate what they don't believe is there. No, you can't give opposites to things such as love and hate. Just because I may not love someone, that doesn't mean I hate them.

I think you're messing things up. They can't hate God, because to allow them to hate him would require his existence. People are corrupt, and all have sinned, yet that does not mean they hate God. If you don't show love to something, that does not mean you hate it.

Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.



The Bible tells us atheists are corrupt people that do no good. Obviously rebelling against God's law means they hate Him. If they Loved Him, they would follow the Bible right? So it stands to reason if they don't follow, they hate Him.

I think you're messing things up. They can't hate God, because to allow them to hate him would require his existence. People are corrupt, and all have sinned, yet that does not mean they hate God. If you don't show love to something, that does not mean you hate it.

Who ever said that Atheist hate gold? That's stupid. We know that materialist and cat-o-lick priests value gold over all things. Atheists LOVE gold.
