i don't secretly "know" hell exists, anymore than i don't secretly "know" god exists, or apollo, or zeus, or ganesh, or allah, etc. I ask why because i want to know why. if there is no answer to why, i don't see a reason to believe. without a reason to believe, i don't see a point to the belief in the first place.
