I am glad that the verse from Psalms has opened your eyes. Do you see now that we don't hand out Old Testament quotes 'like lollipops'. We consider that all of the Bible is God's word and as such must be followed to the letter.
Some of His instructions may be unpalatable to today's liberal, wishy washy, fluffy bunny Christians who skip over bits of the Bible they don't like.

We on the other hand follow his word, all of it, even the 'difficult' bits. We are only doing as we are told - is there something wrong with that?

I would like you to cite the exact part where I so called raise myself up to God's level, I would also like to see some of your arguments on how I supposedly did that, for now you are just insulting me without ANY proper reason.

I am merely trying to discuss in this topic, I clearly admitted I do NOT understand everything and I won't understand everything. Yet you are accusing me of such things?

Whether god exists or not I would still want to know how it functions.

What's to understand? Be a devout Christian or burn in hell. You don't need to know how God functions. He's supernatural anyway. You can't understand how God functions or why God does what he does.

Jesus said that the message should be told and if they do not listen then move on.

So instead of ramping on on how they will be judged. Instead of gloating over their already dead bodies(and souls), I really do suggest we take up our arms and start spreading the word. Even among Atheïsts, as they too are children of our lord.

I always find that Old Wine tastes better because it has had time to mature. Remember that Psalms tells us the words of the Lord must be preserved forever, they are as relevant as anything from the New Testament.

Psalm 12:6-7 "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."

Noah Sole, I do not say we have to disregard the old testament. But it was Jesus who said that new Wine does not fit in old Wine sacks and old Wine does not fit in new Wine sacks.

I always find that Old Wine tastes better because it has had time to mature. Remember that Psalms tells us the words of the Lord must be preserved forever, they are as relevant as anything from the New Testament.

Alphonse Alban and Rev M. Rodimer, thanks for correcting me. I did Somers research and you both are right. I entirely left out the definition of "atheïst" in me previous post and now I see it had little to do witheet atheïsm.. Though I remain THE same on my view on THE prostitute, but that is because in my country they ARE forced to prostitute...

One more thing, I never claimed to follow bits of the bible, I just wrote my post more or less out of one part of the bible. And I yet stay by my view that we should spread the word to everyone, atheïst or not.

I find you're way of thinking rather interesting. You are quoting The Old Testament as if you are giving away lollipops on a children's birthday. If we would still be living in the age of the old testament I would fully agree with you, but with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ a whole new era has begun: the end of times(which actually started since the birth of Jesus, but lets take it from his death and resurrection just for convenience)

Please explain how you reconcile your above statement with that of Jesus in Matthew 5:17-18.

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Yes, and you've horribly misunderstood it.

My interpretation of this is that Jesus, and with him our God, is a great God of love, compassion and joy. I do not deny the fact that he has another side as well, to which is referred more than often i this topic.

But hasn't he said that he gives everyone(including Atheïsts) the chance to turn around and accept him? Does he not have the same compassion for us as he has for the sinner with whom you might work? Does he not have the same compassion for you as a true christian as he has for that girl who is forced to prostitute?

No girl is forced to be a prostitute. She chooses to be a prostitute.

No atheist is forced not to believe. He chooses not to believe.

They both make their choices, and in those choices they reject God. Therefore, He will burn them alive for all time in His Lake of Fire, because He hates them.
