Obviously not, he associates with you. Maybe you could ask him what version of the Bible he reads from. I am betting it's the NIV (doomed to hell). Is he a catholic per chance? I don't know what he reads in his spare time, but he carries around a massive study bible at all times, to help him better understand his religion and his holy bible.

In actuality, they are complete and total Christians. One read the entire bible by age 15 and has made it his life's goal to memorize the bible. I would call that christian, wouldn't you?

If a so-called Christian associates with you, then they are indeed not True Christians(tm), and they will not be joining us in Heaven. It's not enough to simply have passing familiarity with God's Word. You have to fear the LORD and obey His Commandments.

If anything, your friend is a CHINO (CHristian-In-Name-Only) and will have his part in the eternal torments prepared for those who spurn Jesus' unconditional love.

That includes all of it, even the parts that make us uncomfortable, like abandoning friends and family who are unbelievers.

The world is full of false Christians who JESUS will burn in Hell come judgment day.

What JESUS is saying, if you read the verse, is that not everyone who calls on His name will be saved.

Who will be saved? (Read the last sentence of the verse.)

The answer is, those who do the will of GOD, that is, those who obey and keep GOD's law.

So how can your friends be friends with you and be keeping GOD's law to avoid fellowship with unbelieving sinners?

I have been reading the last few pages of comments with great interest, and i noticed a few things.
1. garpau7 was correct in saying that being gay is a psychological abnormality. "abnormality" simply means that which is not the norm. homosexuality is obviously not the normal sexual orientation. Also, being gay is not a choice. They can help it no more than you can help being attracted to a person of the opposite sex.
2. I find it interesting that the title of this post asks atheists a question, and then you ignore their answer and make them unwelcome.
3.believe this: ALL atheists know that they will go to hell if Christians are correct. But i, along with most other atheists, will happily convert if we have a divine presentiment. Perhaps instead of trying to convert us directly, you can simply ask God to have us experience his wonder, since most of us have regrettably and inexplicably been deprived of that privilege.
4. Until I experience God's glory for myself, I will content myself with the observation that there has yet to be a defense from the Christians about their religion that does not involve the religion itself. This is perfectly analogous to saying "I'm right because I am right",

I also do not hate god. Seriously. Most atheists don't hate god. But we are irritated by his mindless followers.
