They aren't, but in your case we made an exception.

What this demon doesn't understand is that LaVey was actually a corrupt old joo who died penniless and insane. He made up his fake "religion" as a scam to make money, after his child porn operation got shut down by the DOF.

Not a man you should be trying to emulate, Mr. Demon boy.

    On LaVeyism, from Wickedpedia:

LaVeyan Satanism is a religion founded in 1966 by Anton LaVey. Its teachings are based on individualism, social Darwinism, self-indulgence, and "eye-for-an-eye" morality, with influence from Friedrich Nietzsche and Ayn Rand, while its rituals and magic draw heavily from occultists as Aleister Crowley.
Holy hoppin' hucksters. Yet another "magickal" self-indulgent mass of incoherent pseudo-religious superstition from a bad writer out to make a few bucks.

Apparently LaVeyism believes, as did Nietzsche and Hitler, in the ubermensch or "superman". In the self-indulgent creed of the LaVeyan, the ubermensch is the "Satanist" who does whatever is best for him. He's entitled to do whatever he wants because, quite frankly, the "Satanist" is an irrationalist who has deceived himself into thinking that he has The Truth.

What makes this particular brand of fruitcake different from any other in mankinds long and idiotic history of fruitcakery?

    Nothing.

It's the same old irrational nonsense, with a touch of materialist philosophy and plenty of selfishness and self-indulgence thrown in. And, of course, lots of occultist superstition and "Satan" added for purposes of marketability.

(Nobody would buy a book called "Occultist Materialism" but plenty of googly-eyed squirrels will buy something titled "Satanic Bible".)

    Sheesh.

Just when old and cabbage-faced One-eyed Jack thinks he's seen the depths of human folly, along comes a new crackpot.

On the thought that satanists are those who worship satan can I please refer you to

Devil Worship: The worship of an actual devil, who fights against god, is a form of Christian belief, not shared by Satanists of the Church of Satan.

Very emo if you ask me. Oh well, it probably saved the world from endless 'Ooh, I'm so saaaaad' poetry.

    Holy cow.

So "LaVeyan Satanism" is just atheism or agnosticism with an obfuscated name and a touch of mysticism thrown in for the purposes of confusion.

It has nothing to do with Satan as an actual being, so the name is...um, sort of stupid, actually. Why name a belief system after something that has only passing significance to the belief system? Might as well call it Pink-bunnyism or Fnordpuckerism.

Look. Atheists believe there is no deity.

Agnostics believe there might be a deity, which is where it sounds like the LaVeyan "Satanists" actually fit in...although they seem too stupid to know much about it.

Satanists believe in or worship Satan, which is why they're called Satanists. Anton LaVey did not believe Satan exists, but used the name anyway...mostly in order to his nutcake occultist-materialism sound flashy and cool.

    Quite stupid, actually.

I have very little tolerance for superstitous clap-twaddle...and that appears to be what Anton LaVey subscribed to. He plagiarized large parts of his so-called "Satanic Bible" and later, being a fool, shot himself.

Standard behavior for a superstitious idiot.

rikusorakairiown, I would suggest you replace your siggie with "I am a LaVeyan". That makes actual sense.

So do I. I apologize for giving these examples though.

Perhaps they should be put in the swear filter, and replaced with random favorite KJV quotes.
