Re: Interview with the EX Vampire! (AKA. Ask an Ex-Goth)
I don't understand why you give me such an unkind answer. I really didn't want to be impolite or anything like this. I treat everyone in a respectful way, even if I'm not totaly of his opinion. Why so you say these intolerant things?
And why do you call me the "FÜHRER-pope"? This has got nothing to do with the point we're talking about. I am 20 years old, not even my parents were born in the time, whene these bad things happened in Germany. So this is nothing I deal with and there are hardly any Germans who do this!
Maybe we think so different about goths, because in America, there's a quite different gothic scene. I know some american goths and yes, they are not the same like in Germany. Here we are acceptet, even from people who have got nothing to do with the scene, because they know, we are peaceful, we just look a little bit strange, nothing more. It's no big deal.
Do you really want to think everyone in the same way? Wouldn't this world be boring, if everyone was the same? What is the matter with an slightly extraordinary life? I mean, I work hard, I do a good job, I help keeping our cultural heritage, I even give lessons about art in our medieval church here. Can I be so bad and sinful, if I do things like these? Honestly, I don't want to get on anybody's nerves or make anyone angry here, I just try to show you what this gothic thing really is.
I mean, how can you judge us, if you probably don't even know anyone of us personally? Isn't it God's job to judge one day?
I'm really interested in an honest conversation about this problem, whithout sarcasm and predjudice.

Everybody watch out! It's the goth-fuhrer-pope from Germany here to tell Jesus that the goths aren't what they seem!!Originally posted by C. Van Friedhoven View PostI am a well known goth in the german gothic scene. Germany is even the "headquarter" of the gothic subculture in the world.[/COLOR]

Re: Interview with the EX Vampire! (AKA. Ask an Ex-Goth)
Hello there,
I just registrated at this site, as I read what all the people here write and think about the gothic subculture.
Please don't think I'm an enemy who doesn't belong here and who just wants to get all of you angry. It's just, that I thought it would be necessary to tell you, what being a goth really means and what actually is not true.
I'm really upset to read what this funny ex goth, who doesn't seem to be a real ex goth at all, tells you.
You may better ask your questions a person who is really involved in this culture and is able to give correct answers.
For example, I am a well known goth in the german gothic scene. Germany is even the "headquarter" of the gothic subculture in the world, so I may be a better person to be asked questions about this.
At first I want to say, that gothic has nothing, really NOTHING to do with satanism! Many people can't distinguish us from satanists, because they also wear black clothes, but that doesn't have to mean anything. Goth hasn't even anything to do with a religion or a belief at all. I know gothic people from all religions. It's also not true, that everyone of us is an atheist. I myself belive in God and a very good gothic friend of mine is studying theology. He believes very strongly in God and is of couse no bad and evil sinner.
The next point is, that ist totally untrue, that gothic poeple would eat babies. Who of you here does honestly believe this? I haven't eaten a baby yet and I'm sure I won't do this ever. I also don't know anyone who even thinks about this. This is just rediculous! There is even no iniciation rituals at all. You just dress black and feel black, or you don't. That's it. Nothing special. You may visit gothic concerts, gothic balls or whatever and then you feel yourself as a member of the scene or not.
I don't know what satanists do, but as we are no satanists and as I don't know any of them, I can't tell you about this.
It's no pleasure for us comitting sins. We are a very peaceful group of people, who just have a romantic idea about this black scene, we listen a special kind of music, dress differently and read spooky poets. But is this so bad? To me it's just a way to express myself as a piece of art. You can see two pictures of me here, the person on my avatar, that's me, and also the one in my profil. I do a lot of photography art and yes, sometimes it's a bit spooky and vampirelike, but what's wrong with that?
I would never hurt another person, I respect everyone who deserves my respect, I go to university and study a lot about christian art, because I love it so much. I'm very often at church (and not for burning it!
),
so, I hope I could reach a few persons of you.
Please don't believe, what this stupid ec vampire tells you. I don't know what he has experienced, but this surely has got nothing to do with the real gothic scene and gothic spirit!

If you cared to look it up, Vincent Valentine is a Final Fantasy character.Originally posted by Bobby-Joe View PostI am sorry to hear that you from England. You speak American-English rather well for a foreigner.
What is with the male name? Are you one of those gay men trapped in a woman’s body?
We are not sexist here friend. We just call for the natural gender rolls as God describes them in the Bible.
England pwns America.
Oh, and American English?
It's practically the same, apart from you lot spell things slightly different to us.
Colour - Color
Grey - Gray
Well seeing as most people I know don't live by a book, both genders are treated equally.

When you were a Goth did you ever eat babies?
Are you kidding? Of course I did. All Goths eat babies. I'd have them on toast 3 times a day! We were all brainwashed into thinking it was actually fun to bite a babies eyes out, and listening to them scream. Such is the barbaric and wicked world of Goth.
Why do Goths want to hurt a poor innocent babies?
Hey, that’s just what we Goths do. Goths hate babies! I think it’s got something to do with their innocence. When I first became a Goth I couldn’t walk past a pram without wanting to push it over. If I saw a woman pushing a pram along the street I would run up to them, and violently punch their baby in the face a good 20 or 30 times. It’s the same with old folks. You just get this uncontrollable urge to knock them over, and kick them in the head. I can’t explain it. I guess it’s a ‘Goth thing’. Goths also hate heavily pregnant women. If I’d see a pregnant woman, I’d run over and drag her to the ground, and jump up and down on her fat ugly grotesque belly till the baby came out, and kick the baby around like a bloody soccer-ball. Goths also like punching puppies, and hurting other small animals.
