They're not like shades of blue or red or purple or brown.
Animals would need to distinguish was was appropriate for eating.
They would not think "I must be careful not to kill the grass" because death did not exist.
No animal would root up fresh sprouts.


Koalas or pit vipers would not eat anything that would kill the plant.
The leaves provided for koalas do not kill the tree when eaten.
Similarly for pit vipers, they would never eat a new young shoot because it's a different colour.
But still green of course.
