The New World voyages were both cause and consequence of the worsening relations between England and Spain.

The colonisation of the new world was political not religious, Elizabeth I colonised as much as Phillip II of Spain. It is unfortunate that it was the nature of colonization to impose the conquorers culture on others. This can most notably be observed in the British empire, a protestant country, where the Baptists emerged during the Interregnum. Therefore Baptists helped colonize the U.S. Also the USA seems to be attempting to obliterate the cultures of the middle east, through its so called war on terror, and what is the U.S.A... a Protestant country.

And that makes the genocide of the indigenous people of Latin America all nice and dandy? And the English were Anglicans, that are as bad or worse than the Catlicks, why, they even let homersexurals become priests!

No, I meant for example the Colonisation of the Americas, and the Crusades, and the countless cultures destroyed to impose the catholic point of view, I ask you, how many people have been killed in the name or using your "blessed mother" as an excuse? Having been accused of Catholic-bashing before, I feel compelled to point out similar failings in Protestant denominations. And if I hear about a juicy Unitarian Universalist sex scandal, I promise I'll post about it here.

Um Ok, this whole priests are buggers is kind of old, yes there are some unfortunatly but perverts are everywhere, not just in the church, its a sad fact of life and the church isdoing all it can to fix.

The roman "church" is full of perverts, always has been, always will be, altar boy molesting is just one of their new pastimes, but they are responsible for the deaths of millions, in the sweet name of your beloved "mother" in Heaven, they've raped, destroyed, pillaged and burn countless towns, cultures and people...
