I feel bad for the Mormons. The want to love Jesus, but they simply don't know how because they got taken in by conman Joseph Smith. Now they believe that they will be gods one day, just like God! If they'd put down those stupid Books of Mormon and start reading the Bible, they'd come to see the truth, that only baptist Christians (and perhaps a few of the less outlandish Pentacostals) are getting into Heaven.

Vatican gobbledygook is the icing on that particular cake. Mostly the others have some crackpot (or mental case) (or crook) propose the most obviously inept garbage imaginable so that the few who believe it are almost guaranteed to believe anything served up subsequently.

They'll be persecuted [their word for it] or mocked [everyone else] and a few might fall away but the residue breeds up usually quite quickly and before long a full-scale brainwashing and/or murder campaign can get underway. Popes take it one stage further. Instead of interpreting the founder's words, they pretend they are in direct contact with an infallible source themselves. Imams and Mormon elders at least don't do that but I think they have a prophet. If he believes what he says he's insane; if he doesn't he's a crook. Quite possibly he's both. There's a lot in common with the flying saucer religion wanting to build a swastika-shaped "embassy" for the aliens in Israel. Earlier I mentioned "the most obviously inept garbage imaginable" but could anyone other than a free love racing car driver Frenchman dream up that? The latter day saints extend it to a couple of non-existent orbs they'll be able to fly to eventually when they're dead. As a result it's easy to say they're not any sort of Christian.

Mr. Smith was shown the door to Kolob by his very own followers. He tried to use his connections to the Masons (see: Mormon temple rituals) to attract help at the last minute but to no avail. He had cheated so many over so many years and married so many followers wives, daughters and livestock that even the rubes who bought his golden plated baloney could take no more.
