Hi gang, just wondering if you want to help out a friend looking to jazz up her homeschool Biblical Character Traits lessons. We learn about some of God's favorite, and not so favorite people, what Character Traits they possessed, and the Biblical Support for these characters. For example Job who was so patient and never stopped praising the LORD even as the LORD smote the family he loved and stripped his land to naught but a pathetic dust bowl, then gave the man open, painful, oozing, weeping sores to boot. When our children are tempted to complain, we then simulate some of these events, mostly having to do with personal pets (hamsters are cheap anyway), and immediate weeping sores administered from the kitchen. The Etheldreda children will know and fear and love God if it kills me.
Anyway, if you've got some ideas to share, I'd love to hear them!
Any projects would be welcomed as well. I have a few cut-outs ready. I want the children to be fully and consciously aware of God's presence and sovereignty throughout these lessons.
