Don't deny the dangers of shooting it up with SQL. You're just enabling that kind of depraved behavior.

Friend, may I suggest that you escort yourself over to the "introductions" thread, and tell us all about yourself. I'm sure the congregation would be happy to welcome you.

Old threads about hacking are not going to give you a good reputation.

It comes as a great surprise to me that you can claim to be a hacker based on such a serious lack of knowledge regarding this... but who am I to judge, so I won't!

I also want to say though... that being a computer hacker can be good and bad. I mean... if you hack something that is wrong then you are fighting sin and therefore are actually in the right... if you understand.

Don't forget to tell him that when he starts out with those newb friendly hacker programs, to test it out on IP: 127.0.0.1

SQL and mySQL are forms of database manipulation and retrieval--not a form of drug, as you have suggested.

Another serious warning sign that your child is a hacker is talk of "SQL Injection". SQL is a dangerous drug similar to LSD but used strictly by the hacker subculture. It is injected into the users arm or leg and is very dangerous. Over 40 cases of missing persons and drug-related deaths are linked to SQL.

(I have no idea why they do this) There are many such hackers in schools today, and your son may have started to associate with them. If you notice that your son's group of friends includes people dressed like this, it is time to think about a severe curfew, to protect him from dangerous influences."

This person seems to have confused a 'hacker' with a 'raver' in the category of appearance. Ravers are the ones that wear clothing like that when they go to nightclubs or special dance parties called 'raves'.

    Just clearing up a mistake

hah i love raves..despite the drug use and ive got spiked hair i must be a hacker(P.L.U.R.)

The point is, hackers are an elitist group of technological aficionados, some putting their skills to use for derogatory purposes, others purely to find information, leaving virtually no trace of their ever having been there.

Rant aside, I just thought I would point out that the wide world of hacking is is many shades of grey and very seldom just in simple black-and-white. Anyways, yes, hackers are a quickly disappearing group and often times misunderstood to the point of severe character assassination. Admittedly, yes, there are a good number of black hats running around, but you don't usually hear about them--it is generally just script kiddies that are running around with pre-made PHP and MySQL injection scripts that don't know how to code past simple HTML elements, if that.

The script kiddies are the underbelly, the scourge of the computing world--they have little, if any, idea what it is they are doing and simply do it to "look cool" or so that they can claim "Oh, I hacked that site yesterday" and have no place in the true world of hacking.

White hats, to elaborate on your previous point, hack either for a company, or for the acquisition of knowledge. They will hack into a web site simply to gain access to otherwise restricted knowledge and wealths of information, entering and leaving with as little disturbance as possible to the mainstream traffic. Others will fill their time with reverse-engineering programs--taking a program, breaking it apart, and finding out exactly how it works and what the original author was intending with the original script.

Friends, before we take too much notice of the above article, I might remind you all of where it was originally posted:

This site was, for a short period around 2001-2002, a hotbed for the forces of Secular Communism. This article was, in fact, posted as a parody of our most Godly nation and faith. It seems that Daniel has either been beguiled by the forces of Satan at work there, or is, in fact, no closer to accepting Christ than Mel Gibson.

You sought the company of boys because you are perverted and wanted to fornicate with them.
