Thank you for such insight! This is a great comprehensive guide to Christian parents. I should be more vigilant in seeing my own children as natural-born sinners, and make sure my threats are unwavering. Praise God for this revelation!

Clearly this family, using the Pearl's landmark guide, To Train Up A Child, were doing so in loving care for the soul of their defiant child. Mr. Pearl explains his love for children:
Only to the hippy, "free-spirit," negligent liberal will sharing the message of God's love and forgiveness be seen as a negative thing.
As you come across this news story, pray for the parents who are being actively persecuted for following the Faith of Christ, and pray for all parents who feel their children are getting out of control and are afraid to give their children the gift of discipline.
True evil. This "dear" mom and dad is now serving 37 years and 28 years in prison respectively.
They cried when being sentenced. How ironic. I wonder how many tears that young girl and her brother cried while being tortured....and when these sadists drop dead in prison, they most certainly will be burning in hell for the rest of eternity...
Just a bumpity bump to ask for prayer support for a dear family who is being persecuted for implementing God's Perfect Parenting.
Everyone from Ethiopia looks like he or she is starving. How in Heaven's name were these good people to tell the difference? This just goes to prove that race mixing in adoption is NEVER a good idea.
Hana collapsed face down in the mud in May 2011 in the family’s backyard. An autopsy showed she died of hypothermia, with malnutrition and a stomach condition as contributing factors. Her emaciated body was covered in scratches and bruises.
The 5-foot-tall girl, believed to be at least 13 years old, weighed just 78 pounds.
Carri Williams testified that she thought Hana was healthy, and that she was unaware of the extent of her weight loss — 30 pounds in the year before she died.
Witnesses throughout the trial described the adopted children being starved, beaten and tortured.
Hana spent her final months sleeping in a locked closet, showering outside with a hose, being forced to use a portable toilet behind a barn, being hit as many as 40 times a day and at times being barred from speaking to anyone.

When your children apply for a job it will be at a company our children founded. When they go to a doctor, it will be one of our Christian children that heals them with cutting edge innovation. When your adult kids go for therapy it will be one of our kids-become-psychologist that directs them to the couch and challenges them to release their self-loathing and embrace hope for a better tomorrow. When your children grow old and realize their mortality and seek to make peace with their Creator, it will be one of our children that shares with them the message of God’s love and forgiveness.

Duh!
You are a clear case of what happens when parents refuse to properly raise their children.
Proverbs 23:13-14 "Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell."

No you hate when people like me turn the scriptures you use on you and your backed into a corner so you try to stray away from it.
I can play either game any way you want it to go.
Have you done that somewhere?
Scripture cannot be turned against us because we live by scripture. You are implying that the Bible is self-contradictory. This cannot be because God is its inspiration.
