it's not because some Goths participate in BDSM that all Goths do, it's a personal choice and most of them don't have any pleasure in pain and domination. Glad that I see some of you actually do go look at some things. Yes, Good old Hocico, they are the founders of a sub-genre called Terror Electro. Yes they are Mexican, so what?? Mexicans, Africans, Native Americans, Aboriginals, etc, they are all human to me. They might seem a little raw but they are nice guys, I have met them once, a brother of a friend of mine used to play in the band.

Wikipedia is unreliable. Anyone can go on there and edit it to say anything they want. Rammstien is more metal than anything. Goth is more like Disturbed where I come from.
Another thing that determines what is Goth is the region. I live in the South (USA) and it's hard to find anyone who's not a Goth poser down here. Most are just attention whores, much like the Emo Kids. Emo will probably not last passed adolescence, Goth will probably last a lifetime. Some fall into the scene in a bad time in life, and then fall out, some stay in it all their lives. Even when they grow out of the "Let's shock the neighbors and wlak with a candlelight procession down the road and into the woods," phase, they keep the mindset that everything in the world is beautiful, even the dark parts (genocide and killing are usually not included in that but there are those freaks. Freaks are usually posers).
