This all seems a little "over-the-top" and a complete waste of tax-payers' money.

Based on past history, the worst that can happen to Mr Mannafort would be a $500 fine which would then be followed by a pardon.

This is distracting The President form that wall and the Mexicans know it.

We're talking the President of the United States here. No, wait, we're talking the greatest President in our history.

The great President Richard Nixon once said, "If the President does it, it's not a crime." That is why it was a crime to poke into boxes that might have Presidential papers in them.

And then there is this. What if in those storage boxes is a check from the President to his lawyer covering the payment to the lying whore. It will take the President's time and we will all be the worse for it.

I don't know, you can't just over look something in an investigation, that's how bad things happen. If you commit a crime you're a criminal plain and simple, doesn't matter who you were before you committed it. Let's say I killed someone and decided to hide the murder weapon in a safe. I'd never get convicted of the crime I committed and I could probably just do that repeatedly. Privacy gets thrown out of the window during an investigation for good reason.

Why shouldn't they check safes? If the government is conducting a thorough investigation no stone should be left unturned. There's no such thing as privacy when you're under investigation.

Good for you, Handmainden. We have to separate in the is country justified searches from those which are harmful. Searching private storage boxes is just too much. Many will recall the cash found in an obscure safe during the Watergate investigation. Nixon, one of our great Presidents, was brought down. That safe should have been locked and better hidden.

It works for almost everyone else because almost everyone else doesn't have a crooked FBI on a political witchhunt coming after them and willing to concoct any lie needed in order to do so. With Hillary's latest deep state buttboy Robert Mueller at the helm of the FBI anything could be a "crime". My lawyer says I have the best of intentions? Perjury. I ask my lawyer to hurry to come to my office? Speeding. Plenty of lawyers stretch the truth from time to time. It's part of their job. If everytime a lawyer was suspected of any crime client/lawyer confidentiality was voided it defeats the purpose and undermines our criminal justice system.

Whatever Trump's attorneys did, if anything, was probably only a crime in the first place because Obama and his Demoncrat pals snuck some obscure rules into the law books in order to sabotage his presidency.

How can client's trust that lawyers will provide them with the best possible legal defense if everything their lawyer says will be raided by FBI agents? If they want to go after this lawyer that is one thing, but everything and anything involving Trump should and must be protected by attorney/client privilege. It's vital to our legal system.

A terrible injustice is being done to President Trump in the investigation of his former campaign manager, Paul Manafort. Paul is an honest fellow trying to do the right thing.

But he had some papers he wants to keep to himself. They are in some storage boxes in a place only he and one employee knew about. These papers are his private business and if the FBI is looking into money laundering they should look at bank accounts.

The FBI is just carrying this investigation too far.
