"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

The signers of the Declaration were all Christians, so this obviously refers to Jesus.

Simply put: so? Yes, our forefathers were largely Deists and Protestants (was it Protestant, or was that another country?), however, they in no way implicated their own personal religious convictions into our constitution in any way that would limit our right to freedom of religious expression.

Congress—the federal government—has no right to declare an established religion. And who gets the rights that Congress doesn't have?

And anyway, that's a state law, not federal. And federal law trumps state law when they are at odds. And since the First Amendment says that there is no established religion, individual states cannot mandate one.

Please cite for me the exact law or proclamation that states that the United States of America not only has a nationalized religion, but said religion is also Christianity.
