I just want to thank God for a return to Godliness in the 2014 elections. Let's give Him all the credit for this.
The crowning jewel of these elections was the Lord blessing America with James Lankford. Lankford was a Baptist youth minister prior to descending to a six year term in the United States Senate. I think this makes him more than amply armed for service against Satan in the belly of the beast Washington D.C.
He even looks angelic
This is a wonderful opportunity to explore God's Word.
Nehemiah was the Persian King Artaxerxes, king of Persia's Cup Bearer (445/444 BC). He gets word in Chapter 1 that Jerusalem is destroyed. That her gate is destroyed and her graves are destroyed. He stops to mourn that his people have stopped following the Law of Moses.

In chapter 2 Nehemiah appears before the king and queen. It is interesting to not here that the Greek Old Testament aka the Septuagint or the LXX says that Nehemiah is the king's eunuch. He is doing his normal duties of keeping the royal family from being poisoned when they notice his depressed state. They ask him what is wrong. Nehemiah fearfully tells the king and queen the sad story of his ancestral home city being destroyed.
Artaxerxes was moved by Nehemiah's tale of woe. He gives him money and letters of credit to get wood and a guard of king's captain horsemen to supervise the repair of the ravaged city. Just like James Lankford, Nehemiah pulled himself up by his bootstraps and put in hard work to get the men and materials together with a little help from billionaires.
They begin the work of repairing the gates, but Nehemiah has a secret purpose in mind that God Himself has told him to do.
In the first few days, Nehemiah moves about in secret with a small entourage to survey the situation. He finally tells his entourage the plan. They are going to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. When he tells them this, they scoff at him. They tell him it would be direct rebellion to the king who was financing his mission.
But Nehemiah reminds Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the slave, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian that
A. God told him to do this.
B. They are not from Israel, so they have no rights or portion in Jerusalem nor can they even be buried there.

But then the walls kept getting stronger and stronger. They began to repair the breeches in them and reinforce them.There was one part of the wall that was weak because its support beams were decayed. This is a strong reminder that we have to be a team together and never compromise with our enemies.
This really infuriated Sanballat the liberal atheist, Tobiah the homosexual and Geshem the illegal immigrant with Ebola, so they got together and said, we will destroy them by surprise attack. The Children of Israel from across the Persian world heard what was happening in Jerusalem and they came to help, bringing news with them of the impending invasion.

Nehemiah finds the people in crushing poverty and debt. They have mortgaged lands to buy food. And their tax burdens to Artaxerxes, the king who was financing their rebuilding and protecting them from further injury, are too high.
Conditions have become so deplorable that the people are selling their children. Sometimes their daughters are born into slavery.
Ending usury, private debt forgiveness and increasing taxes
Nehemiah used to the invisible hand of the market economy to stop high interest loans and forgive private debt. Nehemiah did this, so he could impose a tax for the purposes of God to rebuild the defenses of America Israel! Just like I am sure James Lankford will.
Worth every penny of 67 billion each!
Declaring full employment to build an army and defense.
Nehemiah put everyone to work on rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem at sword point. (Neh 5)
13 Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised the Lord. And the people did according to this promise.

We needs days of fasting in sack cloth and ashes as the Nehemiah tells us to. I propose sometime in September. There are no good holidays around then.
Also, we need to kick the foreigners and those who refuse to worship God out! Come on, Senator!
