Yes, but, if confronted with God's actual will and burning anger if they don't repent then that really is their problem. God is a jealous God and makes no bones about it.

God wants you to do His bidding or He will burn you forever. That's not a message Jesus didn't rubber stamp.

People with a problem with that will burn. How silly to burn rather than wear acceptable clothing out of stubbornness!

I really don't get what you are trying to say. By the way, I quoted the actual bible for you as you seem to have a problem with that.

God wants us to see how He treats those who twist His word and follow the idols of their hearts. Yes, that is your rebuke, friend.

Yet God also dictates that they repent. Is that not salvation for those who had turned to other idols?

From your posts, Redeemed Papist, I have seen that the Word of God promotes against dressing up in gaudy forms of jewelry and dress. And that makes sense, because to be humble in oneself can promote clearer thinking in others. And I do agree with this.

I ask you: Is it good and just to promote the purification of those who have become lost in the dark? Or do we ignore their pleas and let them flounder while blaming them in the process?

Because from what I have heard from you so far, including your infraction against me regarding the microwave thread, is that you would rather place blame and point fingers rather than try to fix the problem.

Once again I point you to our objective here. We are here to glorify and promote the moral framework of our Lord. Our own personal opinions do not come into it. All moral dilemmas are solved by God's inerrant and timeless wisdom in the Bible. At times this may clash with secular teaching and this is all to the good because secular teaching has no grounding in divinity and is worthless when it comes to being saved by God.

We are not here to make you feel good about your own opinions and pat you on the back and say you are OK to ignore God's word.

But isn't trying to save those who have trodden a less than pristine path be a more valuable use of our time and effort rather than bashing those wearing an article of clothing?

Don't get me wrong, I do believe that the hoodie is an article of clothing that is unprofessional and overall disgusting (many people I have seen wearing them hardly ever wash it...) But perhaps by addressing the issue, i.e. the person opting for this lowdown form of attire, we can do more to help?

1 Timothy 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

1 Peter 3:3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

Ezekiel 23:29 And they shall deal with thee hatefully, and shall take away all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare: and the nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be discovered, both thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.

God has plenty to say about clothing. Are you saying that what God thinks is important is not important?
