Hello everyone, i just joined today and just wanted to introduce myself. I first want to answer any questions about by name. I chose sponge for Christ because this is what I want to be in essence. I want to absorb and gain all the knowledge and spirituality I can to become an upstanding Christian, I know the name sounds a little funny but I just used the name to describe how I want to be in Christ. I have been on this earth for 19 years soon to be 20 in a week, and I really found especially with the new year to become more involved in Christ. This question of if marijuana is a sin has interested and I really want to seek answers both in God and in my brothers and sisters in Christ. I understand that our bodies are temples of Christ and that we should obey the law of the state all indicated by the Bible, but what confuses me is when the law of the state conflicts with the Bible. I know by common sense that you listen to the higher power before the state, but say if i was born somewhere were the law said that smoking marijuana is legal? I say this cause a friend of mine in college is a Christian but comes from a country where it is legal. Also since it is true that our bodies are temples of the Lord, then should we not drink alcohol, or smoke cigarettes even though those things are deemed legal by our state? Also please understand that I don't want to offend anyone, i just want to increase in God through someone who already has.

The darkness sets in early where i live and that's why i can pray longer until the dawn breaks. Tonight, once again i pray for BS to give up his BS because the darkness has sat in on his life and until he can hear the voice of our sweet Jesus,he'll never be free to view the glorious light that the rest of us true Christians experience.
