  • Prayers and thanks to Jason Chaffetz for his service

I read with sadness that Jason Chaffitz, head of the Oversight Committee investigating Donald Trump, has decided to leave his job just 4 months after getting elected.

He continued, "[A]s I celebrated my 50th birthday in March, the reality of spending more than 1,500 nights away from my family over eight years hit me harder than it had before."
Now this is a true family values Republican. The coincidental timing with the awkward situation of having to investigate Trump is just a Democrat smear on his faithful service to our country. Just like other men and women who serve this Great Nation, Mr. Chaffetz would never walk away when faced with doing something unpalatable.

It's his family that needs him right now. And a new gig at Fox News. And a terrible foot injury - possibly bone spurs? - that would almost certainly have led to 5 deferments in the draft if this were the 1970's and we were in a war in Vietnam. Let us pray that Mr. Chaffetz recovers soon - thank you for your service, Sir.

    Good luck to J.C.

What a good, Christian family man that puts his family first and follows God's path, even if that means being separated from our dear Mr. President Trump.
