Call me a grammar Nazi if you like, but the advice I'm giving you about "whom" is quite different from telling you not to split infinitives, end sentences with prepositions, or say "it is I", instead of "it is me". That is true grammar Nazism.

I'm doing you a favour by pointing out that your use of "whom" will make you look silly and pretentious. Even if you used it correctly, it would seem pretentious to many. Since you are using it incorrectly, you will look pretentious to those who don't know and be laughed at by those who do.

It is universally agreed amongst even prescriptivist grammar Nazis that it is better to use "who" "incorrectly" than to use "whom" incorrectly.

The only place were "whom" is mandatory in standard English these days is when it's the object of a preposition as in expressions like: "to whom it may concern", and even here "whom" is giving away to "who".

One I don't care if he was an administrator, the fact that he isn't now just means he couldn't handle it for some reason. If that reason was in real life, well too bad.
