The other holy books are pretty clear too, but which holy book is right? And is there any reason to believe one is more correct than the other?
Arrgh, having trouble with connection.
The Bible is right because God tells us it's right. The rest were put there by Satan to lead you astray.
Hypothetically speaking, if i was to stand trial for stealing a loaf of bread, I could just say I did not do it. Someone might say, "you could be lieing". But by your logic as stated here i could just say "but i say otherwise...". And that would simply be that?
Cmon, let us think a bit here rather than come to hasty conclusions.
You do love your hypothetical statements. Kind of reminds me of the "doctor I have a friend..." stories.
Anyway, in this story, if there was no evidence you'd get off free. If there was a written confession of what had happened, and a clerk who saw you do it then you would be charged. Well the Bible is written by the "clerks" and is a written testimony from God.
And even if there was only one holy book, it still wouldn't mean anything since it doesn't neccessarily mean it is true either. It could simply be a lie, a work of fiction. Made up!
The Bible says otherwise...
2 Timothy 3:16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Has it ever occurred to you that you might be mentally retarded? Jesus can make you better, you know...

Reason: good
I get it now. Since it really isn't up to anyone to prove that something doesn't exist, we don't have to prove that evolution and a self-creating universe don't exist; you have to prove that they do.
Tieing the word "exist" with evolution and a self-creating universe is incorrect as those are not things. Evolution is a theory supported by mountains of evidence, it has proof. And everything we consider a fact, was once a theory but has stood the test of time and evidence and become a fact. Evolution will eventually be considered a fact by everyone, as it already is by most scientists.
Concerning a self-creating universe however is a whole different ball game, we simply do not have the tools or the capacity to fathom such questions or answer them, at least at this point in time.
The Bible itself is the proof. What part of that don't you understand?
If God does not exist then how do you explain the Bible?
The same could be said for any of the other holy books. And that therein lies the problem.

And it really isn't up to anyone to prove that something doesn't exist otherwise I could say the same thing for almost anything really, for example; prove that the flying spaghetti monster doesn't exist. Get it now?

Of course the Bible is not enough evidence, it certainly isn't historical documentation. It is a religious doctrine, just the same as the Hindu Vedas and the Qur’an of Islam and many other holy books.

You are getting a bit off track here but, I suppose i can't exactly go by this taking chances concept. I would have to go by evidence and reasoning concerning the existence of God, not the chance that I will/will not damn my eternal "soul".
We have the Bible, what proof do you have that God doesn't exist?

Young lady, unlike the Hindoo Vedas, the Koran and other false doctrines, the Holy Bible is an accurate testimony of God's existence.

Why is your hatred against Jesus so strong, my dear friend?
And is the Holy Bible not enough evidence for you?
