You are getting a bit off track here but, I suppose i can't exactly go by this taking chances concept. I would have to go by evidence and reasoning concerning the existence of God, not the chance that I will/will not damn my eternal "soul".

A world government to take care of everyone and everything? That would be communism. It's also a sign of the end times.

The United Nations is not a world government. It is is an international organisation whose stated aims are facilitating cooperation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress, human rights, and the achieving of world peace. It certainly is not a sign of the end of times, the founding of the United Nations after WW2 was the hopeful start of something better.

I thought i was pretty clear on what it is for. Earth Day is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment.



Is looking after the Earth directly disobeying what you say/think the word of God is?

And are you simply willing to take the chance that said God exists/cares about us and will you willingly risk the planet that we live on based on that premise?

Are you willing to damn your eternal soul on the chance that God doesn't exist?

I thought i was pretty clear on what it is for. Earth Day is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment.

You just don't get it, friend. If the earth is in some kind of a danger, then that is God's will and we should not interfere with His plans.

If you want to "save the earth" so badly then do as you please, but you must be ready to accept your penalty for disobeying His words. You will roast in hell whether you like it or not.

Anyone who cares is taking care of the planet. Limiting such a thing to "hippies" and "commies" is simply bigotry.

One example of many people/associations that are taking care of the planet would be the United Nations with the United Nations Environment Programme(UNEP).

We waste energy in protest. It doesn't really push up my energy bills that much because the dishwasher had to be run and the oven needed to be cleaned anyway. I just save it for the times to show the government (and don't think they don't track whose obeying) that I'm not falling for this save the planet crap.

I for one am sick and tired of all these communistic hippies who want to trick us into worshiping the earth (Gaia) instead of God (Jesus). They hate freedom, capitalism and God. They spend all their time coming up with newer and nuttier theories of why we should live like the filthy Europeans (stop bathing, stop using toilet paper, etc) and so on.

Well God hates it. It's got to stop! I'm going to spend this "earth day" the same way I do every year: I'm going to turn on all the lights, heaters, air conditioners and water faucets in my estate and leave them on for 24 hours. I'm going to leave the doors to my refrigerators and freezers wide open, and I'm going to run the engines on my collection of cars and motorcycles. Checkmate, Al Gore!
