Thank you for your reply, Bob. I don't play eighteen hours per day; in fact, I play maybe two hours per week, occasionally four to six. I don't agree with people who play that much - it's wasting life, which is all too precious. I'm a full-time university student, so I don't have much time for these things, whether I'm taking classes online or in person.

One question that I have is why are video games considered to be sinful? I've heard this before, but no one ever explained it to me (also, I've heard that some are not). What is the difference, what is okay and what is not okay?

Now, I don't know why I'm bothering with this, because every time that I encounter such hateful "religious" people, I find that I am never able to get through to them with sound logic. Maybe Jesus directed me to this post to share His word with you, to remind you what He said. Jesus taught us to love thy neighbour. In Matthew 7, Jesus explicitly talked about judging others. He said, "Do not judge others, so that God will not judge you, for God will judge you in the same way you judge others, and He will apply to you the same rules you apply to others. Why, then, do you look at the speck in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the log in your own eye? How dare you say to your brother, 'Please, let me take that speck out of your eye," when you have a log in your own eye? You hypocrite (side-note, I noticed a forum signature that says that hypocrites will be damned)! First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will be able to take the speck out of your brother's eye.'"

If any one of us was wasting 18 hours a day playing the computer games, you might have a point about judging others.

But JESUS' main point in Matthew 7 was to warn us away from being hypocrites, not from judging others.

If you'll actually read the whole chapter, you'll see we are allowed to judge others all we like as long as we ourselves are sin free, which we are.

Now I got it, the slant-eyes at NCsoft shutdown City of Heroes so they can get corporate Obamacare to fund Guild Wars 2, their next furry-fetish flagship. As all other government handouts it is stolen from our hard-earned money. Well, if Obama can kill City of Heroes, imagine what Mitt Romney can do with World of Warcraft.

Actually, I do have a serious question for you - all of you. Why are you so racist? Did God not create all people? Also, last I checked, Jesus was neither American nor white - am I wrong? I'm truly curious, and if you would become less judgmental, then I'd be much more likely to listen and try to understand your side of things. I have an open mind when I'm not being attacked.
