Well said, Pastor Ed. Modern culture leads us to expect immediate action from Our Lord, even when He has other plans. We are too impatient. This is a lesson to us to have faith in Him and His infinite wisdom.

James 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

In this case, He did not choose to wipe her out immediately, but who are we to question His timing? Perhaps he plans something long-drawn-out for this woman? He may be letting her think she got away with it this time, all the while waiting to pounce with His punishment.

Romans 8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

If we can only wait long enough, all our prayers are answered.

In a moment of prayer this morning, I received a bit of clarity. While reading over this thread and its responses, I just realized how we've all shown our lack of faith; the title of the thread is: "Pray evil Nicole Kidman is PARALYZED next time"

Why not this time? Is not our God powerful enough to kill this wretched scientology wench THIS TIME? Of course, He is. I'm expecting an undetectable blood clot to put her down any day now. But this only underscores how deeply our faith is hurt by this Godless, modern culture -- no wonder our prayers only seem to be answered 50% of the time! It's because of us!

She's an ex-Scientologist, if you can ever be an ex-Scientologist. I'm not convinced.

As almost everyone else in HELLywood, she is involved with Scientology. I had talks with her during the transition of Citizens Commission on Human Rights (Scientologists) to Christian Commission on Human Rights (True Christian™). As the hell temptress she is, she refused to join the reformed CCHR.
