However, most blood supplies in the U.S. are vigorously screened for HIV and Hepatitis. Hence, unless you are from another country, this is an unlikely source of transmission. Heterosexual (sex between a man and woman) transmission of HIV in the U.S is between 1% and 2% depending on what ethnic group you belong to and whether you live in a rural or inner city environment. Homosexuals and IV drug users are the larger group but not by that much at only about 4%. It is possible you are a straight male and encountered an infected female. HIV does not mean you have AIDS but you need to receive treatment to prevent AIDS and always practice safe sex. Treatment as soon as possible could help you to live a long productive life.

No disease is a punishment from God. Disesases are just a natural part of living and dieing here on Earth. Our bodies decay but our souls can be saved regardless of what disease you may carry or what sins you may have committed. I feel very sorry for the above posted comment. It insinuates that small children with cancer or a deathly illness are being punished. . . typical ignorant fanatical comment from someone with no concept of the love God has for each of us.

A number of months ago, I was driving home from my Bible Study at my local parish when a drunk driver hit my car from the side. I was rendered in the hospital and while I was unconscious, the hospital staff proceeded to administer a blood transfusion (on account of my severe chest and arm injury). I pulled through the procedure with some minor scars, but by the grace of God, alive and well!

I was in my local doctor's office last week for a routine physical. My doctor took a sample of blood, as to test my various levels (iron levels, cholesteral, etc). I thought nothing of this, and soon after, went home.






I just received a phone call from my doctor. He said that my blood test has come back positive for HIV. I told him that this cannot be possible. I am a devout Baptist Christian, and I have not experimented with drugs or pre-marital sex. He insisted that this test is 100% accurate. After a few questions, he concluded that it must have been from the blood transfusion from months ago.



Does this make me a homosexual? I love God with all my heart, so I couldn't be gay, right? I'm afraid for my mortal soul. What do I do?!

Have you had romantic feelings towards another male? Have you engaged in any sort of sexual activity with another male? If the answer to these questions is "no", then you are NOT homosexual. Straight males can pass HIV to their straight female partners. Does that make them gay? NO.

Thank the lord for this forum. I reside in an area where many homosexualisms live and I am in constant fear of contracting or developing understanding for that lifestyle. I can rest assured that this forum is available to soothe my soul and keep me on the straight and narrow path of the Lord.
